And that shouldn’t be happening at a public institution, or on its athletic squads. Don’t equate the mission of the institution with your personal mythology. If that’s your personal motivation, fine. But once you equate it with the public/collective, you’re crossing an ethical line.
Even if Cade could productively enact a more aggressive approach to the passing game, there’s still the issue of his inability to threaten the defense during zone reads. JJ’s feet, or the threat of them, can change the prospects of the whole offensive scheme.

DTs and Mazi were getting a lot of leverage and living up to the hype. Saw quite a few shots of CSU's interior lineman unable to handle them in run blocking situations.
Welschof struggled to set the edge on some running plays and seemed directly responsible for some of the rare chunk runs and silly conversions when the rest of the D was in good position.
Pass rush from the collective D-Line looked tantalizing. Interior seemed to do an excellent job of pushing the pocket and allowing the edges to cash in.

That's excellent news. Ronnie is a constantly positive presence for this team--anyone else notice that he's always got a smile on his face when they catch him on the sidelines? I love watching players who clearly love the game.
Sports really are a mystical thing--it pulls out something deep and primordial. It's the one place where I can think in a pre-scientific way and not feel ashamed of it. Go Blue Forever. Thank you for your own personal superstitious contribution to this best of all possible worlds.
My wife (an MSU fan) was convinced by halftime that we would win. I kept telling her not to speak the words, lest we tempt fate.
“Toughness and resolve” is putting their O in a 3rd down passing situation and getting a sack strip. If we’re not making excuses, then Michigan deserves the W, because they scored more points.
Those dropped touchdowns (I counted 3 at least) were painful. If our guys catch the damn ball (that includes pick-6's and punts too!), we're looking at a happier set of circumstances. Other than that, I'm fine. Life is good. Get better, keep winning! Go blue.

I've been waiting for Ross to assume his ultimate form for a while now. Recalling his highlight reel from high school, there was a certain "charity" to the way he distributed the hurt to ball-carriers. And we've seen increasingly more of that over the last couple years. Is there any greater football archetype than a linebacker with the ability to just light someone up at any moment? Someone that causes the clouds to belch lightning after a hit, you know? Bush had it, and I miss him for it already. Hoping to see a lot from Josh this year!
