Our wide receiving crew is going to be stellar next year yet again. Bell, CoJo, Wilson, Sainristil, Anthony, Henning and even using Edwards and Corum. That doesn’t even mention the tight ends who have really came around as well. All is finally rounding into that weapon Harbaugh was talking about.

Right...

Only at OSU does a first round WR come back and the #1 and #10 overall players in the country sit their freshman year biding their time.  Then again they have a totally different offense with 3 1000 yard WRs.

Great news on this front but I do worry how many WRs are going to want to come to this type of offense when reality speaking those guys in the top 200 have NFL aspirations.   But that's a worry for another month.

They all factor into the passing game except for Henning and Dixon so far. Wilson is getting better, so is CoJo and Anthony will be a beast. Sainristil is making plays. Henning is doing returns and ends rounds and could factor in more next year as well. We’ve seen more of the multiple players in the backfield with the Qb that could expand for next year.

This staff has done a great job of finding rough diamonds with a ton of speed and overlooked  talent.

We can fully expect Anthony, already a great receiver, to make great strides.

You also can't overstate Bell's leadership. Dude will lead by example and have this room putting in the effort, tirelessly watching film and working on weaknesses.

Ohio might have the stars but we have the heart.

Definitely Ojabo. Shelf life for running backs in the NFL is short anyway, he needs to go get paid.  Ojabo has the upmost potential for the NFL, but he could become Hutchinson next season and lead the defense. I’d also like to see Dax come back for one more season as well, to continue to lead our young  secondary into the future.

Yeah, our defense is gonna be young. We are most likely gonna have both defensive ends, our surest line backer and five star do it defensive back. Gonna have to have some people step up to the plate. Colson and NHG should be good at linebacker with Barrett stepping up as well. Replacing Ojabo, Dax and Hutch will be tough.

Salvatore - Just curious. Have you changed your opinion on our defensive coordinator now or no? Your comments from last week:

“Mike MACDonald isn’t good at his job. The run defense is mediocre at best and the defense has real issues with substitution. His defense cost Michigan the game vs MSU. Hutch and Ojabo cover up a lot of flaws. They won’t be here next year.

Michigan needs to find an experienced DC who can also recruit, another thing MACDonald isn’t particularly adept at.

When they get torn apart by OSU next week those numbers, fattened up playing some atrocious offenses, will get exposed.

The run defense is substandard for a Michigan defense. They will get shredded by Henderson next week”.

The decision for a guy like Haskins has to be based on how he thinks the NFL views him, which will determine whether or how much he gets paid. He’s do doubt an outstanding college player, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to make a living in the NFL. I haven’t read anything yet that touts him as a high pick. Higdon bailed out of a bowl game for an NFL career that never happened.

I can't see Haskins going before the late fourth round at the absolute earliest due to concerns about top end speed.

I do think he has a role in the NFL though, especially given how most NFL teams are utilizing multiple RBs these days, and Haskins has shown he can pass block and catch the ball out of the backfield.

He should still go pro right now, though.  His stock won't get higher with another year.

Excellent news. Losing Hutchinson, Ross, Hawkins, and likely Ojabo, I expect our defense to take a little bit of a step back. But our offense will have a chance to step up even more. Potentially losing Haskins, Vastardis, and Stueber could hurt the tough running game some, which sucks knowing how we won yesterday, but there’s so many other returning pieces and untapped potential there that it’s hard not to be excited for. QB battle will be very interesting.

Safety and linebacker have seen enough talent come in and produce in secondary roles to assume fine. The natural improvement of talent of the players already on the roster should help overall too, but replacing 24 sacks (so far) from Ojabo/Hutchinson is going to be a big task. Might need the offense to step up a bit to help too.

I was thinking this was for the B1G champ game and playoffs at first glance!! Still awesome news. His leadership as well as awesome receiving skills will elevate the whole receiving corp I believe

That is awesome news  on Bell. The WR will be really strong.  Antrel  Anthony needs to be targeted a lot more.  He’s special.    Who ever the QB is will have a lot of targets.

That's excellent news. Ronnie is a constantly positive presence for this team--anyone else notice that he's always got a smile on his face when they catch him on the sidelines? I love watching players who clearly love the game.

And I have to say it is super exciting to be talking about next year when our season finally is still playing for something this year. We can enjoy both discussions for once. We didn’t have to send these same players we are discussing off after another loss to them and reluctantly talk about “next year” like we have had to for far too many years.

This is excellent news for next year. Our WR group is going to be awesome with Edwards and Corum out of the backfield adding a dynamic passing game.

That is totally awesome news.  Ronnie is a great player and leader.  Totally stoked for him and Michigan Football.  Bet he has a fabulous year next year.  Michigan will be loaded on offense and in receivers.

Imagine that this is your wide receiver room:

Ronnie bell

cornelius johnson

aj henning

andrel anthony

Roman wilson

mike sainristil

cristian Dixon

And any others I may have missed or forgot

if that doesn’t give you a chill down your spine for 2022 I don’t know what will
