I know this comment is likely a joke but I want to make it clear to the MGoWriters and readers as well that the fact that this content is all free and as high quality it is is absolutely jaw dropping and I would never want to sound demanding, I was just curious if I had missed it or if they were understandably busy with other projects. Don’t worry you guys, you aren’t old, you’re principled. I’m 22 and can’t stand domes (though I would love something at the top of the big house that contains and amplifies the crowd noise). My favorite memory is the snow falling down on the big house in the game in 2021.
We also need to stop pumping in so much stadium music. The bands should make up 80% of the music.
As a current junior I can assure you that a really really significant proportion of the student body, including myself, grew up with Denard as the lone bright spot in an otherwise tormenting Michigan Football adolescence. Just as Redux said, I grew up pretending to be Denard in my backyard
I can't believe this seems to be an unpopular opinion but the top 3 should all be OSU. I loved the rose bowl but the simplicity of just beating OSU and ruining their season and the tradition and the narratives... perfection...
I really respect the players who have stuck through this mess. I question the sanity of those who will stay another year. (I guess maybe there's lots of playing time available in a premier conference that could be good for scouting exposure??)
I'm not certain why you're getting downvotes. It was by all accounts an easy schedule until November, virtually a cake walk for a team of Michigan's caliber. Definitely helped us.
This makes me happier about the relative dip compared to the last two years. Of course some of these blown games come down to coaching/players but our record is deflated and not representative of our performances for the majority of the time on ice
I don't really think it matters how much you pay Sabb, he's demonstrated he's good enough to play at most schools except for the one that's returning Rod Moore and Makari Paige
I have no idea why he even went to Michigan in the first place. Like, why pay out-of-state tuition to ride the bench on Michigan's football team instead of riding the bench on OSU's? He seems like a baseball player primarily. Then I thought "maybe because the Michigan baseball program was coming off of a legendary CWS run?" Then why not transfer after the UM baseball coach left in summer 2022? "Give the new coach a chance?" He didn't transfer summer 2023 either. I would be much less confused if this had happened anytime sooner but transferring now just makes no sense to me.
Is a 10 year deal really all that unreasonable? Can someone explain why? I was under the impression that he was the best in the country. The players all love him. Assuming that it's actually true and not just "insider" twitter fodder
The idea that "the kids get a degree so it's all good" is flawed logic. It's already been mentioned to death that being compensated and being compensated to your fullest market value are two different things but these kids are not getting the education your average student does. They are spending almost every waking hour working on their football abilities. Why do you think there are fake class scandals or easy summer courses for the players? Because a vast majority of the players, at least at the big schools, are there for football. (Shoutout Cardale Jones). And even if they can't make it to the league, if they lose focus on sports and try to focus on their academics, they could be kicked off the team and lose their scholarships. I think that these universities should offer the opportunity to come back to school and properly complete a 4 year degree if and when their NFL careers fizzle out before making life-changing money, as 95% of them do.
Is there any precedent of the oddsmakers having any better idea of what's going on than those on Michigan twitter? I have a hard time caring what any betting app has to say.
Cornelius Johnson might be the most unsung player in the post COVID era of Michigan football. He stuck with an offense that refused to utilize him in any meaningful way in terms of showing his ability to NFL scouts, and there was never so much as a peep from him (as far as I know) of complaints about his role. I really hope he has a solid NFL career because he deserves it.
I can't believe it took me 20 years of my life to find this website. i should've been scrubbing through UFRs and FFFFs by kindergarten. Regardless, so glad I was able to follow this magical season via these write ups. Cheers to the MGoStaff and MGoReaders alike

The students have finals right now (source: I am a student) so South U will probably be relatively dead compared to your usual Thursday night
