I get he's from Columbus but I mean why not go somewhere you can get on the field instead of a walk-on? Good luck to him I guess?

When my son was in little league I was was the coach and on picture day there was this guy all dressed in OSU gear and I though he looked familiar. I walked over to him when I realized it was Mattison and he said his grandson was on my team. He was there because mom and dad were on vacation. I asked him why he left Michigan and he just rubbed his fingers together and said "Money".

Somewhat biting my lip I said "well I expect we will tackle better than your teams at Michigan and ND. You just got credit because you had the Ravens." Needless to say the son didn't talk much to me the rest of that season...lol.

It's business.  Tribal for fans, but business for players and coaches. It has always been that way.  If Bo went to Texas A&M, it would have been good on him. That he stayed... that was a personal decision that seems Michigan Man like but it's not. NIL and Portal make that seem new, but it has been in CFB since the day.

He was getting a Master's in Social Work.  Maybe he needed a field study in order to graduate.  A school full of coolerpoopers is chock-full of subjects for a great thesis.  Also, he's from Columbus. Good luck, kid!

As a graduate of the School Social Work at U-M and their dual-program in anthropology, trust me that they have well shall I say a "vast network" of field placements all throughout Michigan and even in southern Indiana and Ohio. Also, leaving the #1 Social Work school in the world for the last 25 years to go to...OSU? Can't see why one would do that.

We actually had about half a dozen OSU undergrads in my graduating class because "this program is just too good."

I wish every student athlete well.  And, with transfers - especially, grad transfers  - that things work out.

It’s just transferring to Columbus that’s tough to stomach as a fan / alum.   He could have gone to almost any other school in the conference and it would be fine with me.  It’s suiting up in scarlet and gray.  And, it has to be nice that he’ll be playing close to home.

There is one question.. will he wear his NC ring around campus?

He's going home to play baseball, chill guys...he never even saw the field for us. Yes, the OSU baseball teams might be able to steal our signs now haha, that's about as far as this goes...

Edit: Hahaha, I feel like The Emperor in Star Wars with all these downvotes, "Let the hate flow through you!", keep 'em coming ya'll, "Strike me down with all of your hatred and your journey to the dark side will be complete!"
