Penn State is the only place that makes Michigan State look competent in every category, especially from a board of trustee perspective. All the way down to having people who are wildly unqualified to serve on the board, like Jay Paterno, who belongs there just like George Perles did at Michigan State.
It's already been reported that he is retaining the existing special teams coach that was already on staff under the old regime. So nothing to worry about there.
Totally agree with this one, imagine being there in person with your cousin who it goes to Michigan State at the time and seeing the trouble with the snap play in real time… Whenever I see the highlight now on any sporting compilation video, I have a tendency to skip it. Still too much PTSD stored in my memory.
I'm hearing rumors that Tony, "the weasel", Petitti might not even show up to the game tomorrow night. Apparently he doesn't want to be a distraction to UM which is laughable in my opinion, especially considering when he handed down the suspension in the first place.
I agree completely with your sentiment. However, my father has proposed this potential idea Michigan to the big 12 bringing along Nebraska and Iowa. Why Nebraska and Iowa? Well, Nebraska already has a built-in rivalry with returning conference member Colorado and Iowa plays Iowa State every year already. Plus, Michigan can be filling the void left behind by Texas and Oklahoma's departure to the SEC by being the big dogs of the big 12.
It would appear to me, the conference fired a revolver at the University. (Metaphorically speaking, of course.) The university is prepared to respond with a machine gun, which I am glad to see. By the way thank God Santa Ono is the president of UM, not Dr. Schissel Lord knows how badly Mark would've screwed this one up by now.

Well given that Jesse's dad, Rick was a very successful coach at Cincinnati for a long time. I'm not surprised to see the younger Minter being mentioned for that job. I echo sentiments of other people though and that I hope he doesn't leave. I'm afraid some coaches might leave to join Biff at Charlotte.
Ryan Day will be an NFL HC candidate for some NFL jobs that come open in the coming off-season. But he'll only leave for the NFL after he loses to Michigan for the third year in a row. To avoid being fired.
Jensen has done color commentary on some of the road games this year due to the fact Dierdorf has undisclosed health issues preventing him from traveling to some of the away games. As far as who the play-by-play guy will be I have no idea who it will be.
Actually if he takes a job, he'll be 67 by the time the season starts. His birthday is in July like mine. And like I said in reply to another comment on this thread. Hiring a head coaching in waiting. Is definitely a must-do.
I agree. He's going to be 67 years old next fall. If Don Brown is smart, he'll bring aboard Anthony Campanile or somebody similar to be a head coach in waiting.
I believe Haskins already has an invite to the senior bowl, which I believe he accepted. I believe however, even if he didn't have this invite, he would leave for the NFL.
I've been sitting here watching some old Michigan games via WH's YouTube channel recently and I've noticed something interesting I noticed that in short-yardage situations particularly in the red zone during Harbaugh's playing days here. Michigan would line up in the wishbone with a FB plus 2 HBs and 2 TEs
I am thinking about this formation with JJ at quarterback plus Haskins, Corum, and Edwards in the backfield plus All and Honigford as the tight ends could be a really lethal formation you could run plenty of traditional option plays plus it makes to play-action pass a real lethal weapon for us also.
Bellamy was supposed to be the wide receivers coach this year but then BJM left and they had to reshuffle the coaching staff before bringing in Matt Weiss to coach the QBs. I'm hoping next year they bring in that Williams guy from USC to coach the safeties so Bellamy could coach the WRs, allowing Gattis just to focus on being the primary offensive play caller.
You made some good points on the comparison Chuck. I think Milton is slightly a faster runner than Jones but the rest of your points are valid. As far as who will be the long ball threat of this offense? I think either Giles Jackson or Roman Wilson could emerge as the guy. Jackson had a kick off return touchdown against Maryland last year and he scored a rushing touchdown vs tOSU in The game last year. And I believe Wilson has a ridiculously fast 100 yard dash time if I'm not mistaken.
