Also very oddly, the leaderboard graphic doesn't show the hole each player is on. Anyone know why this is? I don't think I've ever seen that before when watching golf.
They must have heard you because they're showing it now.
I’m not sure which graphic you’re looking at. You should be able to figure out what hole each player is through. I track on the Masters site…
They changed it. Earlier in the day they were only showing total score and round score, but not the holes played.
Another good example of broadcast production trying to fix something that wasn't broken. They could have made a third column which could have be an improvement if it didn't cover up more of the view of the course behind it.
Rahm is going to be hard to beat at this point. He's playing well and Koepka seems to have lost his mojo from the first two rounds. He's made at least two horrible drives in the front nine.
Really hoping to see a log jam at 8 under. Seems like Rahm is going to hang on at 10 the way he is hitting the ball.
Out of nowhere Phil ends at eight under. It seems Rahm will likely hold on to the win, but a pretty amazing Sunday for him.
Phil has been shit on the LIV tour. No reason to have expected this performance. Crazy. I have a few bucks on Rahm so would like to see him hang on.
Based on viewership numbers you might be the only person who has followed liv golf enough to know that
I don’t watch that shit … but I do read the coverage.
Do you bet golf often? Did you parlay the Rahm win? And did you bet any other golfers to win?
I do bet it often because even the favorites have great odds. Didn’t parlay. I did throw some money on 3 others as well. If one wins, still come out well ahead.
What were the odds on Rahm winning? I predicted him to win it as well with all my buddies but of course I didn't put money where my mouth is unfortunately.
He opened at +600-750 so very short in golf terms. But for the rest of the year, I highly doubt Rahm gets above +800.
I bet golf every week. I’m on a golf betting podcast. Golf betting is amazing and I love it. I just can’t bring myself down to the”tiger prices” on Rahm, scheffler, and Rory. If I’m betting 7-1 on Rahm and then 3-4 others it’s basically an insurance policy and not the most +EV bet. But I’m usually a 5-6 man card so my style doesn’t lend itself to betting favorites if that makes sense.
I think brooks was screwed from the get go today because he’s a quick player. And so is rahm, but unlike rahm, brooks has been playing on LIV where you’re not used to the 5+ hour rounds where as Rahm was used to waiting. I’m glad Rahm won, he’s an easy guy to cheer for.
What’s the podcast? Will check it out!
“Playing the tips”. We record Monday nights and publish late Monday night so people can listen and do fantasy, betting, one and done etc.
Ha! Clever name. I will also check it out. I am a sports bettor and I infrequently bet on golf, usually only the majors. But generally speaking I will take any (free) tip I can get.
I like Rahm’s chances. And, how he played on Saturday morning - in very challenging conditions, illustrated just how solid his game is.
The fairways seem to be drying a bit. I’m very interested to see how the final groups play 13 and 15 - and who will be in position to go for the greens in two.
Glad to see Jon Rahm win, he's a good guy. I've volunteered at PGA tournaments at Torrey Pines, and I've seen Jon tell the kids that he'll stay there signing autographs as long as it takes until he signs for all of them and them proceed to stay there signing until its done.
Who do you think will wear the green jacket?
Me, Clarence Boddicker. The heist is about to go down...
I would place all my money on Rahm - guy is clutch
In hindsight, Augusta played almost as tough as it can on Sunday afternoon. About 1/3 of the field played below par - but, very few “super low” scores.
it was enjoyable to watch, though - by 15, it seemed like Rahm had a nearly insurmountable lead.
I thought that Cantlay or Hovland would have gone lower and pressure the leaders.
Over the last five decades, an international competitor has won the Masters in every year ending in three.
Geez...had I known this, I would have put money on Rahm. 🙄
