Wiltfong puts in a CB for ‘25 4* TE to UofM
I guess the kid from Tennessee liked what he saw, not sure if he was in attendance. Michigan keeps reloading at TE, after 2 stud TEs in the ‘24 class. his offer list includes Bama, Tenn, Kentucky, £uckeyes, L’ville, VaTech, Wisconsin, Maryland, Staee,
p.s. Inside Michigan Football is on, can’t get enough of yesterdays highlights. what a hit by Mikey! loved that

If I'm an elite TE I'm fighting other recruits to come to Michigan. Harbaugh consistently turns nondescript recruits into draft picks, it's still so odd to me how often the blue chip TEs have spurned us for places that don't use TEs at all.

I remember some consternation over getting a kid from Connecticut, then he followed that with a guy from football hotbed Idaho!? One caught a TD for the Cowboys a week ago and the latter led the team in receptions and yards in THE GAME!

The guys ahead of him who have committed have committed to Georgia, Notre Dame (to hell with Notre Dame), PSU, LSU and Clemson so those are teams who largely utilize TEs and often get them to the league. #3 is a lean to OSU who also uses TEs.

We need one of our guys to hit it big in the NFL. That's the criticism at the moment.

I originally put his name on an attempt to post through Safari but it didn’t work. had to redo on Chrome. Apologies to one of the next great Michigan TEs Eli Owens

But what about Wingding?
November 26th, 2023 at 10:57 AM ^
WINGDINGS. with an S. Sheesh 😅

6’1.5”? I guess he is more in the Max Bredeson mold then. We can definitely use another like him.
November 26th, 2023 at 11:00 AM ^
do have the 6’6" twin towers coming next year. Both are in 220#s. Eli is listed at 243#. want to see him punish OSU DBs. When Barner caught that pass over the middle yesterday the first thing i yelled was "HIT HIM"!!! as the OSU DB closed on him. I like the Hammer TEs that make defenders think twice.

Yeah, bringing back the fullback was my first thought.
November 26th, 2023 at 3:44 PM ^
Back on my day, we called a 6' 1.5" Tight End a Fullback! We welcome big guys of all heights! GO BLUE!
November 26th, 2023 at 9:14 PM ^
His height on 247 seems to be inaccurate. In another spot on 247, he's listed at 6'3" and on his Hudl he's also listed as 6'3"

Give me all the Tight Ends. JH knows how to use them and develop them.
That hit by Sainristil was fantastic. In fact, I really think it dazed Henderson and affected his runs afterwards.

Hmmm. Great HS tight end likes Michigan. Wonder why??
Come on down.

Writing about recruiting, it will be interesting to see what happens to Jim "knows defeat" Knowles at The beaten 3 years in a row Ohio State University. Does he get fired. And if so, what happens to some of those defensive verbals they got who had picked OSU over Michigan? Do they stick with their commitment or do they overcome their brain fog and realize Michigan is the place to be if you want to be stellar on defense?
November 26th, 2023 at 12:51 PM ^
I dunno man, looked like two pretty evenly matched teams, to me. I doubt Knowles gets fired, especially if 3rd Base sticks around.
Both teams were throwing haymakers yesterday - it was a helluva heavyweight battle.

Knowles D played significantly better this year, the offense was the weakest link

“You’re going to have a tight end, right Jim.”
November 26th, 2023 at 11:20 AM ^
He is molded like an old school H-Back.

I considered a new thread, but will just add to this post...
Where do we sit with the current class regarding any possible, late additions, and number of guys the class might have?
I hadn't looked in awhile and hopped on to 24/7 to see what things looked like. I'm not a huge stargazer, but you'd really think that we'd be a little higher in the rankings after 3 really good seasons. Obviously our NIL policies will limit our high-end potential.
Any new info out there?

It'll depend on coaching changes for the most part. Mark Stoops leaving Kentucky would have been huge, so it's unfortunate he appears to be staying.
We have a great shot at flipping Gatlin Bair from Boise after he visited yesterday.
November 26th, 2023 at 3:55 PM ^
And for those who don’t follow recruiting, Bair is a Mormon mission kid so basically a ‘26
November 26th, 2023 at 11:29 AM ^
Hoping Michigan can get 2-3 flips for the 2024 class as well.
November 26th, 2023 at 12:01 PM ^
Fullback. Do want.
November 26th, 2023 at 12:12 PM ^
Is this a Interior LB ? Seems short to be a TE here.
November 26th, 2023 at 12:38 PM ^
3 things I'd love to see:
Natty this year.
JH signed for at least 5 more years.
UM getting back into regular top 5 recruiting classes.
