Sorry man, it's a free market and that means there are opposing viewpoints. The homeristic posts on this place are bad enough when it's warranted but when it goes off completely unbridled over absolutely nothing real it's completely obnoxious. This place has been and should be better than a bunch of 14 yr old fanboys with no realistic understanding of the process trying to hang on to anything and everything just "because Michigan". I get that my posts about the stuff are caustic, it's even more obnoxious to see people continually denigrate other schools or programs because they're not Michigan especially when we don't even have the high ground in many of those situations. To make comments about what a terrible mistake an 18 yr old kid is making going to play for Bama because of educational reasons as though they are signing on to go to school at some third rate for profit college is ridiculous. It makes our fan base look completely uniformed and honestly pretty shitty and deserving of my scorn. Is Michigan a world class university that rivals the best in the country? of course. Is there not a good argument for a kid who is deciding to play football with his life to go to Bama? I mean give me a break. It's not at you man, I get your point and I'm cognizant of it. But there are plenty of people who should take some pause before posting (just like I do because someone makes a sane argument like you did, which I appreciate). So that's my side, if that makes me "that guy" okay I'll bear that burden.
