I get one every three months and they last about two months for me.

We (everyone who works at a university) know this. We have mandatory yearly training on this process. Just telling your boss isn’t enough. You have to report it yourself. You might be OK if you report to your boss and then make absolutely sure your boss calls the Title IX office (like, only if you actually watch him/her file the report, or if you get copied on the e-mail). But if you tell your boss, and your boss sits on that information, you are 100% in violation of Title IX. You have an obligation to let the office know this information and you didn’t follow the procedure.
