It has no impact on health and safety either way. It's an insane take. I don't know why the media is tolerating it except that they're being complicit in the takedown of Michigan.
The bigger logical flaw is if Haller (and Matt Rhule) believed that, why do they not insist on everyone in the NCAA using helmet mics, and why do they themselves not use wristbands? Sign stealing is legal, so when people legally steal signs, their players are at greater risk than usual tackle football (per their phony beliefs).
Further, why should any advanced scouting (watching film) be legal? That is also a way you learn to recognize what plays the other team is going to run.
