That was one of the worst coached halves of the Harbaugh era

That was up there with the Army game plan. They don't have a backup plan if Corum can't get it going. We get big chunks in the pass game before halftime and we run into a stacked box and turn it over on downs.

That fourth down call was awful. Everyone watching knew it was going to be a standard run up the middle, and that's exactly what it was. We need more variety on offense. And our defense reminds me of the Lions, except Indiana's offense is too bad to capitalize on it most of the time. If we were playing a decent team we would be behind by multiple scores right now.

I’d usually say wait for snowflakes but that was so damn bad I don’t even care. The coaching was bad but even so, Michigan should have at least 21 on the board.

Matt Weiss runs the offense like he’s from the Stone Age and Jesse Minter, like Mike MacDonald, can’t defend against the hurry up. I don’t understand why you hire a guy who coached a bottom 10 defense last year and a guy who can’t run an innovative offense. I thought Gattis wasn’t great but man Weiss is awful

A  bad criticism!

Mike Hart went down and it's affected the whole team. Corum doesn't look the same. I hope we can reset and win. Hold off on the criticism until after the game.

I just feel like we need JJ to run the ball more. I know they don't want him hurt because of McNamara out but this is no different with him in. Gotta keep the D honest but some of the formations at this point in the season I yell at the TV and say who it is going to. Need a changeup somewhere.

How I imagine a Harbaugh game plan meeting goes ...

"Hey Coach, Indiana is atrocious at stopping the pass"

Harbaugh: "hmm, well, let's show them we can beat them playing our brand of football"

I don't know yet -- JJ has connected on a couple longer plays in this game. It may very well be a combo of playcalling and receivers not getting open, as Klatt pointed out -- gotta go with that since we can't often see the whole field.

Then again, you may very well be right -- he does seem to be checking down very quickly.

C'mon Jim, let JJ be JJ. We're not winning the conference with conservative O *this* season.

EDITED TO ADD: Second half looks much better. Everyone was probably pretty affected by the Coach Hart situation. Time to relax, myself included.

Yeah JJ really looked terrible out there.

Harbaugh has completely ruined his first-year starter to the point where he just barely crested 300 yds passing and 3 TDs. Looks completely broken out there. Confused. Lost. Maybe lonely. Or gassy. Anyway, just a waste.

What a stupid goddamn fan base this is sometimes. Why there is always a group of people who take special joy in being the first to say our coaches are terrible is something I will never understand. Maybe y'all just like the feeling of being pissed off.

My brother in Christ, it sounds like your theory is that the coaches instructed Blake Corum, "Son, we have given up on you bouncing outside. Your prerogative to bounce outside is hereby revoked. Now run straight into a pile of meaty asses or so help me God you will not see this field again."

If that's what you're saying . . .  then in a truly, painfully dumb fucking thread, you may well have won the title of King Dumb Dumb.

This was one of the worst threads of the Harbaugh era. Did you just start watching football this year? This was a trap game. There was a first half hangover effect from the Iowa game. Harrell’s iffy personal foul penalty kept alive an IU drive. Other penalties, phantom and earned, are not the fault of the coaches. The game plan, as we found out in the second half, was to force IU to defend the run so as to open up the passing game. The defense saw what IU was doing in the first half, adjusted at halftime and pitched a shutout. Get a grip.
