Sad....they took the bare minimum of what they think is public acceptance of his offense.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:37 PM ^
That's exactly right...all the way around...coach and AD...a very "well" calculated PR decision.
August 22nd, 2018 at 10:23 PM ^
UFM just reeks of sleeze ball. He's drug his stank in from Florida. That inept 1-2 punch of Gene and Urban just puts a pall over the B1G and start dragging our reputations into SEC levels. If OSU had class, Urban is gone with Smith. If they did nothing wrong, then exonerate them. But a 3 game suspension tells us they did something wrong, but not wrong enough. Way to set a shining example OSU.

What a clusterfuck. Pretty bizarre to announce this by email before the press conference even started
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:03 PM ^
McMurphy, you’re up.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:04 PM ^
McMurphy clearly doesn't have anything else, otherwise his last shot wouldn't have been dildos and ball-rings.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:08 PM ^
I could be wrong but didn’t he indicate recently he has more dirt to release ?
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:32 PM ^
I was told by someone following the situation that he was waiting to see how OSU handled the situation and if they did the right thing. If not, he had something else.
When you look at a guy like Zak Smith and all the shenanigans at Florida, it's hard not to imagine Urban doesn't have a walk-in closet full of skeletons. The guy has no soul.
August 22nd, 2018 at 10:16 PM ^
I think that's bullshit. It's not McMurphy's job to decide whether OSU has "done the right thing." It's his job to report what he can corroborate. The guy has very little credibility with me.
August 22nd, 2018 at 10:30 PM ^
I agree. I'm risking sounding like a Buckeye, but I feel like his periodic relaesing of information is a bit slimy and self-indulging.
August 23rd, 2018 at 1:52 AM ^
Who’s your source?
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:14 PM ^
Let's get the facts straight, I think it was ball lifters and cock rings
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:32 PM ^
Maybe he's saving the strap on used by Urban on Chris as the last hurrah story?
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:52 PM ^
The big issue was not the sex toys, it was the sex with a subordinate (who was then reassigned).
But I also don't get the sense that he's just had all this information for 3 weeks. I think he's been getting it along the way.
August 22nd, 2018 at 10:23 PM ^
Definitely right on the first thing, probably right on the second.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:08 PM ^
I agree. McMurphy needs to unload everything now!!
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:03 PM ^
Really hope that McMurphy has more to drop now that the slap on the wrist has been confirmed.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:04 PM ^
Thank God their bullshit is over! Beat the hell out of them in Nov!
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:13 PM ^
On the bright side, TCU should have a solid chance to upset them.
August 22nd, 2018 at 10:19 PM ^
Why is that? Urban Meyer doesn't suit up. I personally think your going to see an ass beating on national t.v.. Ohio St. will crush TCU. I think your going to see a pissed off football team.
August 22nd, 2018 at 10:29 PM ^
The team will be pissed off because their coach isn't there because he was suspended by his employer for embarrassing the University? The guys will play harder because they feel badly for their beleaguered coach whose employer publicly stated he did not uphold the school's "values"?
That makes a lot of sense. I don't know why more coaches don't get suspended for ethics violations as a way of motivating their team.
August 22nd, 2018 at 10:36 PM ^
TCU is #16 and Gary Patterson isn't chopped liver. Dude is easily a top 10 coach.
TCU will put up a fight especially at home.
August 23rd, 2018 at 2:36 AM ^
You toothless bozo!!
August 23rd, 2018 at 9:10 AM ^
How can you come on a public, rival forum, and basically just thumb your nose about the whole thing? Oh, because you fucks have no shame. How stupid of me.
I say this with all sincerity; in no way would our fanbase tolerate this kind of shit. Ever.
I also say this with sincerity; go fuck yourself.
How do you not feel like it's all tainted at this point? Oh yeah, it's the no shame thing. Sorry, I've been taking some medication that makes my memory pretty spotty, and clouds my judgement.
It feels good to have morals, y'all should try it sometime.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:18 PM ^
If you don’t think we’ll beat ND, why would we beat OSU?
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:53 PM ^
Because a team can get better over the course of year, especially those breaking in a new QB?
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:18 PM ^
I didnt think they’d can Meyer, but I figured they’d boot Smith. They can’t even manage that much.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:19 PM ^
So now onto MSU? Or is that not dropping anytime soon?
August 22nd, 2018 at 10:03 PM ^
That's wishful thinking.
August 22nd, 2018 at 10:29 PM ^
I’m sure you said the same thing to Iowa fans who thought they could beat you last year too.
No one is invincible, pal. That’s still a talented team down there and you’re on their turf. You’ll be favored but anything can happen.
August 23rd, 2018 at 1:41 AM ^
This is true. Any given Saturday anyone can be beaten. I remember a certain team getting beat by Appalachian State, who was an overwhelming underdog if I remember correctly.
August 23rd, 2018 at 11:43 AM ^
Yep. That definitely happened. But beating Urban Meyer and Tim Tebow after he won his Heisman to end the season really helped ease that sting.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:04 PM ^
Whitewash, as expected.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:05 PM ^
and shelley, is she still employed?
they are going to rue the day they could've done the right thing, but chose to be weak.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:42 PM ^
Agree, X... Always do the right thing. Pretty simple. Can't wait to read the report if it's made public. I hope to God something bad comes out in late October after this seems to be behind them and forces him to resign the week of Thanksgiving.
August 22nd, 2018 at 10:10 PM ^
i'd like to beat him first. after that i don't care what happens to his career.
August 23rd, 2018 at 11:38 AM ^
Those with remorse and shame may eventually rue the day, but honestly I don't see that being the case. Sad.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:05 PM ^
What a joke. All of their alumni should be ashamed of this BS
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:29 PM ^
Their alumni have no shame. And the rest of their truck driving, pig farming fanbase could care even less.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:45 PM ^
Judas Priest its couldn’t. They couldn’t care less.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:49 PM ^
My god Jim! It's it's not its. Judas Priest it's couldn't. Unless it's not. Then I want to know what Judas Priest its couldn't do....
August 22nd, 2018 at 10:23 PM ^
Don't forget who feeds your ass. FARMERS!
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:10 PM ^
Sums it up perfectly. Can always count on the Simpsons.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:05 PM ^
edit - obviously people mistook my post the wrong way since i am not an OSU poster
73-8 is the only fact that counts!
anyone surprised? really?
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:22 PM ^
We don’t like OSU trolls, so you should make haste.
August 22nd, 2018 at 10:01 PM ^
If Urbzm had Hoke kind I’d numbers he would’ve been let go.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:06 PM ^
The first 3 games won't be a challenge. OSU can get by with talent. Meyer will be back for the important games.
It's a net win for OSU because it got an upgrade on a poor performing Wide Receiver Coach.
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:39 PM ^
Yea...I'm so glad Urb will be back for that all-important game against Tulane. Why do you think TCU is not a quality team?
August 22nd, 2018 at 9:46 PM ^
Not trolling here, this is an honest question: Does it bother you that no one has apologized to Courtney and her kids for what they’ve went through because gene and urban mishandled the information?
