7-0, congrats dirtbag.

You knowingly allowed your assistant coach to abuse his wife.

You built your UF teams with criminals that were dealing drugs and doing drive by shootings.  Great job mentoring Aaron Hernandez by the way.

You brought SEC 'values' to the B1G and completed the OSU football factory.

Your legacy will still always be with an asterisk, because you're a dirtbag, cheat that runs away with "health problems" whenever things get tough, like Saban owning you in the SEC.

Space, bitches.  Space.  As I say to my OSU neighbor who brings up football every chance he gets,"UM MBA #1 per Businessweek the year I graduated."  And since I coached your kid at the YMCA, "I sincerely hope everyone plays well, no one gets hurt, and the better team wins (regardless of the officiating.)  Oh, and here, would you like a brat or beer?

I smile when I walk around U of M stadium but I make a point to stand where JFK stood and walk where Robert Frost walked whenever I am in Ann Arbor.  And yes, I am a statistician and I pound football statistics for forecasting purposes all day long.

Football will never replace academics no matter how often I visit this sight.  Oh, if you attended the Saturday Physics lecture before the Notre Dame game you would have been reminded that "the birth of the field of nonlinear optics occurred in Randall Laboratory at the University of Michigan in 1961 when Franken, Hill, Peters, and Weinreich observed for the first time the generation of optical harmonics."

Isn’t it sort of silly to brag about going to UM business school to your neighbor. I mean, you live in the same neighborhood. It appears he’s done just as well as you with a “lesser education”. Maybe you take pride in meaningless rankings, but that doesn’t feel like winning to me. Also, Robert Frost and JFK didn’t go to UM. It seems contrived and silly to bring them into a discussion about football. I tried to go this route and talk about Gerald Ford, but the common retort is “isn’t he the only president never elected to anything about the house of reps”. They also love to talk about how the Unabomber graduated fromMichigan and called it an awful quality education.

If you think my special brand of crazy exemplifies any of these fine posters, well .....as we've already established, you must be a Ohioan.

But thanks for showing how little you fit in.

That's nonsense.  They beat us because they've had A LOT more talent nearly every single year.  And in the years when its been close, they've gotten some really good breaks, we've gotten some bad ones, and/or they've just made a play when they needed to and we haven't.  If what you see from Meyer is why they keep beating us, then ask yourself why Dantonio no longer does.  Attitudes are virtually the same at both of our rivals.

Michigan’s arrogance got it here with the debacle in coach hiring and Carr’s ego (and others) diminishing the proverbial stock of the football program. When the fans and alum start looking at it from a pragmatic standpoint maybe they’ll (we’ll) realize that 100% effort instead of bellyaching gets results

I don't buy this tired narrative at all.

It's not as if Brady Hoke or Harbaugh don't "get it" related to the rivalry. I might abide RichRod not getting it. Hoke coached under Gary f'n Moeller fergodsakes and won a National Championship with Lloyd Carr. Harbaugh beat t(tm)OSU and authored the guarantee. He gets it.

Largely, t(tm)OSU has won by having higher ranked players or at least more of them. Paying players, cars, weed, tats, "everybody murders" and a culture of "I hope he doesn't fire me" at the highest levels surely helps out. A complicit fanbase more than happy to apologize away these transgressions while concurrently virtue signalling and singing "Carmen Ohio" is the icing on the cake. Toss in some complicit refs and you've got a problem.

Urban Meyer is likely a bad human being but he's a hell of a football coach. They have won with more talent and with two (including Tressel) of the best coaches of this generation.

Tough recipe to beat but not because M coaches/players don't "get it".

Such a strange world they must live in:

Misogyny ....cool; cheating ....no biggie; exploitation of athletic ability completely irrespective of intelligence ...celebrated!

People who actually played school and are proud of what they earned ......?

Arrogant assholes must die!

It's like the whole state peaked in high school.

Terry Glenn and David Boston both talked smack before The Game, so what the hell is he talking about respecting the rivalry?  How much respect did Woody Hayes show when sent he goons out there to bring down the M Club Banner?  Only thing I get from this is you can open your mouth about any dumbass, hypocritical bullshit you want as long as you win.

I would be disappointed if Harbaugh didn't call OSU a few names behind closed doors. Harbaugh actually has far bigger reasons to feel a personal sense of animosity toward Ohio St than Urban Meyer or Ryan Day have the other way around. If you've spent about a decade of your life trying to beat those bastards then you better actually feel that hate in your gut or else you're a robot.

Now with Urban Meyer, the dude is a total pro. If that guy had been hired by Michigan at some point, he'd be saying that shit the other way around and come across just as earnest. I'm sure he gave such speeches at Utah and at Florida, too. It's part of his job. As a coach you gotta know your audience and what motivates them. There's many different approaches to that, but I tell you what, riling them up against Michigan is always a good approach in Columbus and East Lansing - which every coach who takes a job there would learn pretty quickly.

The substance of respecting the rivalry I have zero problem with.  In fact, I wish Michigan's staff would act this way.

Calling Higdon an asshole because he was suckered into an ahem, "guarantee", is bullshit.

It drives me nuts when coaches take shots at opposing players.  Just like Mork being butthurt over Mike Hart's postgame interview.

Yes the OSU trolls are heavy on our blog now.  Starting posts, responding to their own posts, or to posts of others.  Mineral King trashing Fields in a way we would never do.  Beware, it is constant and will not stop unless we win the game.
