Josh Henschke confirms that Jack Tuttle will get another year of College Football eligibility. How do we feel about the QB position now?

Confirming Jack Tuttle had his waiver approved by the NCAA. Run it back.

I mean Indiana is Indiana. It takes a pretty damn special QB to look anything above middling.

Tuttle is no star, but I absolutely believe he could come in and fill a Cade McNamara type role on this team. Excellent defense and what should be a good running game. All we need is him to be a game manager. He significantly raises the floor of this team if he’s the starter.

I don’t expect him to simply be handed the job by any means, it’ll be a position battle for sure. But he’s definitely the safest pick right now. It’s going to come down to whether the upside of someone like Orji outweighs Tuttle’s ability to keep the offense on schedule.

Significantly raises the floor for the QB room, IMO. I could see Tuttle performing at a level in the ballpark of Cade and Rudock -- especially if the line is solid.

I'm all for lottery tickets at QB. If Tuttle can be Cade, next year's team will be fine. If someone beats him out for the job, that's a good sign for whoever is named the starter.

Alan Bowman went to Oklahoma State and won 10 games, including a win over their biggest rival, feels like its not crazy to think Tuttle could do something similar here.

The poster who surmised that Tuttle's waiver was denied aftet he tweeted "see you next year" or some such deserves a double dose of shame. And a short, sharp spank for the mods who didn't delete that poodoo pile of a post.

He’s older than seven NFL starting quarterbacks and he’s the same age as Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields and Zach Wilson. That’s the kind of experience I’m talkin’ about!

Have a really good feeling about this.  He's a taller, more athletic (and better character) version of Cade.  I'm rooting for him to break out.  He stayed and he'll be a champion.

Kinda sucks for Cade. Had he stayed, He’d be the presumptive starter and I’d be plenty satisfied to see a redux of 2021 w/ Orji in the JJ role.

Then again, you can’t help but wonder whether his departure had a net positive effect on the culture and the program’s momentum towards a natty.
