So, you have a pop up window that says "Add Link" with a space below to paste a link, and it doesn't work...not confusing at all! Oh, you have to click on an additional, vaguely-worded link ABOVE that to paste your link!

If, at any point, you're blaming the consumer/end user for not using your product right, then your product is too confusing.

Or if someone does it wrong you can cut and paste tge link into your browser if you want to read it.   If you think it would be helpful to others, you can make a hot-link (which is very much appreciated- thank you) and no bitching whatsoever is needed.

i for one would rather people post a useful/interesting static link than have them firego posting it,

All depends on how it goes.  Peyton Manning (despite his final season flub) certainly set the counter-Jordan standard.

I get the Jordan analogy because of the pile of rings, which differs from Manning.  But it's the standard of play and the ring that could set Tom apart from the Jordan-Wizards mess.  Jordan had completely lost it at that point.

What was Manning’s final season flub? I mean, yeah, he was terrible and it was objectively his worst season, but the rest of the team was good enough to win the Super Bowl.

We can only hope Tom Brady goes out with a final season flub like that. I don’t think it’s likely, considering the teams where he is likely to end up.

What was Manning’s final season flub?

Yeah Denver won the SB but that was all Miller and the defense.  If one is taking about "Manning" and *his* "flub", this is it:

* Manning had 17 INTs to 9 TDs in 9 games that year in a stinker of a season that made Brock Osweiler look like the next big thing.

* QBR was 68 for the season.

* Manning's SuperBowl stat line was 13/23 141 yds 0 TDs 1 INT for a 56 rating... I recall hearing someone say it was the worst performance in a SB history by a winning QB.

I'm pretty sure Manning had to be dressed and undressed by trainers for practice and games that final year. He was a stiff. Once in a while he'd squeeze out a play here and there to help, and his head was OK so he didn't kill them with dumb mistakes, just hurt them wounded ducks. Probably the worst QB to ever win a SB. That's how good the Denver D was then.

I’m surprised. The Patriots don’t have a backup ready to take over and I doubt Brady will end up signing with a team that will put him in a better position to win another Super Bowl before he retires than he would have had with New England.

Kind of sad. It’s the end of one the greatest dynasties if sports history. I’m afraid his best years are behind him and there’s not much of chance he finds that kind of success elsewhere.

If by "that much success" you mean another dynasty, then you're right -- Father Time won't allow for that.

If you instead mean "competing for another Super Bowl," then he might very well do just fine.  His line and his weapons were a hot mess last year, and the historic performance of the D in the first half was a well-documented mirage.  Pats are hardly his best platform for one more shot at a seventh (!!!) ring.

San Francisco still makes the most sense since he clearly wants to go to the best situation that is just missing him(JG was not good in the playoffs last year).

I see him going to LA over Tampa. Big city market, new stadium by the 2021 season, and he's from CA.

Only advantage Tampa really has is they have better weapons. That definitely helps, but is it enough to overcome playing in front of an indifferent fanbase who would rather let the stadium be flooded with opposing fans seven times a year? Then that 8th game is getting played in London because the Bucs can't fill their own stadium.

Also have to consider that when you're playing in the AFC West, you're only going against one former MVP in Patrick Mahomes. In the NFC South, you're going against three. Newton, Brees, and Ryan. Six times a year.

The path to another Super Bowl is probably easier if he goes to LA. And if nothing else, he gets to go home.

While I agree with a lot of this, I don't think Tom Brady is worrying about Newton or Ryan.

Living in Charlotte, I can assure you there is plenty of question about Cam ... may never even take another snap here.  Even if he does, he has been hot garbage for several years running when he has made it onto the field.

I live in Tampa and the Bucs fans are quite excitable when they have a good team to root for (fair weather here in more ways than one). Their support for the Lightning is the same. Now that they're good, the fans are rabid. I can see if Brady ends up here, there will be a ton of excitement.

Brady with Godwin and Evans is pretty exciting. They'd need to fix the pass D and find a good RB to be SB contenders. I think not having a QB that throws 3+ INTs a game would help the defense too.

From Tampa as well. Haven't lived there in a long time but I was there for 19 years, including the back-to-back years of the Super Bowl and Stanley Cup. I remember plenty of the good years with that dominant Tampa-2 under Kiffin and there supposedly being waiting lists to get season tickets. You are right in that fortunately the Bolts draw really well (my Dad has season tix with a few of his buddies and I usually can catch one game a year when I'm in town), but that's been because they've consistently been a great team for the last few years. Hell, even when they're dominant, its still really tough to keep opposing fans out of Amalie. Especially when Original Six teams like the Habs, Bruins or Red Wings come to town. Maybe that's just the way things go when you live in a town full of transplant fans, though.

You've got your ear to the ground better than I do since you're still in town, but I think there's a few things here that are beyond Tampa's ability to control or influence. The LA market and fanbase is astronomically bigger than what Tampa offers. It just is, and there's nothing Tampa can do to change that. Brady is from CA, and he may want to be closer to his family now that he's getting older. They're getting that brand-spanking new stadium in a year and a half, and then the QBs you're going against in the NFC South are MUCH deeper than what you'll face in the AFC West. Granted, Mahomes is better and younger than all of them. But he's one guy, and you're only seeing him twice. Brees and Ryan are still capable of MVP-caliber seasons, and Newton is still dangerous in his own right (When he's healthy). You're seeing them six times.

Guess I'm just too used to seeing a half-full Raymond James, where 50% of the fans who are in attendance are from the other team. And are usually much louder, too. The Bucs have a long-standing "losing culture" that is going to be very tough for anyone to overcome.

Brady needs to go where they have the best OL.

If we look back on the games where Brady has not done well, it's where he gets rattled from constant pressure. <-- I suppose the same can be said about any QB in that regard but Brady will  make the payers around him better if he's protected. He didn't have many weapons in NE this past season and they still had a respectable season.

Well, it was fun watching the most dominant dynasty and player in NFL history.  I hope, but remain skeptical of his ability to continue to play at such a high level.
