Tom Brady is Hammered
February 10th, 2021 at 8:15 PM ^
No, virtually all the published “experts” were picking the Chiefs to win. That’s the media.
February 10th, 2021 at 7:18 PM ^
Certainly no judgment here. I do that when there is absolutely nothing to celebrate, let alone a 7th SB win. Something about sunshine, warm weather and boating will get me every time.
Good for him!
It always amazes me how some people react to “celebrities” doing this kind of stuff. Why is he not wearing a mask? This is not a good look, what will I tell my kids? GTFOH!
February 10th, 2021 at 8:19 PM ^
These giant maskless boat parties are definitely not a good look as thousands of people die from COVID every day. Weren't both of Tom's parents hospitalized from COVID? Super epic party though, Tom was probably pissed he couldn't wear his MAGA hat.
February 10th, 2021 at 8:32 PM ^
You give Fonzie a run for his money.
February 10th, 2021 at 8:38 PM ^
Good argument. Keep sucking Tom's dick just because he played football at Michigan. Imagine if there was video of OSU players celebrating their playoff berth with a big maskless party. All you morons would be calling for their heads.
February 10th, 2021 at 8:47 PM ^
There already is a video of an osu quarterback not wearing a mask. We didn't have to call for his head because 1) we don't care, and 2) he got the axe from his employer anyway.
February 10th, 2021 at 8:50 PM ^
Incorrect. Wouldn't give a shit.
February 10th, 2021 at 9:08 PM ^
Is joy and celebration a part of life anymore?
The 50-some players on the Tampa Bay Bucs worked their butts off for several months, and it culminated in an NFL Championship. Should they not enjoy their achievement? Especially given that a fair number of them won't be Buccaneers in 2021, and the time they still have together as a 2020 team is fairly limited?
February 11th, 2021 at 4:40 AM ^
If I had won a super bowl I would get fucking drunk as well. I'd probably smoke me some good weed.
February 10th, 2021 at 11:19 PM ^
Florida has been ahead of the rest of the country in re-opening and that state's numbers are good.
But yeah, MAGA hat.
Hope you don't suffocate in that echo chamber you're in.
February 11th, 2021 at 1:21 AM ^
Why are liberals such joyless losers?
February 11th, 2021 at 2:27 AM ^
I think for whatever way someone leans it's because appreciating things and being recreationally outraged are mutually exclusive.
#no politics.
February 11th, 2021 at 12:13 PM ^
Blah certainly seems to be a joyless person. S/he may or may not be a liberal. Aristotle would understand this. You, sir, are no Aristotle.
BTW: Based on your comment I, assume you are not a liberal. Nonetheless your posting history is full of piss and vinegar. I could draw the sweeping conclusion that all non-liberals are joyless, but it'd be more appropriate to just assume that you are a prick.
February 11th, 2021 at 6:42 PM ^
, but it'd be more appropriate to just assume that you are a prick.
IDK...
I did something I normally don't ever do but I looked at the post history and while it's fair to say that Aristotle leans right -- which is their 1st Amendment right, there's little there which is that egregious aside from a comment about Whitmer (which is far as I read and well into last year).
Perhaps, since a lot of people bitch about how divided this country is, we can fix that on our own -- certainly anyone with a 'R' or a 'D' following their name isn't gonna do it.
And that fix begins at home. And it starts with one person and then another and then another... until we change the culture of calling people a prick, for example, just because we can.
February 12th, 2021 at 9:55 AM ^
You're right. Calling him a prick was probably over the top. +1 to you and I'll take my penalty for unnecessary roughness.
I do want to clarify, though, that I wasn't calling him a prick *because* he's a conservative. I don't care about that. I was calling him a prick because *he* said the commenter was joyless because s/he is a liberal. He has a tendency to inject politics into the board and it gets annoying to me.
And I will push back that, while nothing the he has written is "egregious", the vast majority of his posting history is purely political, either cloaked or explicit. My first run-in with him came in the "RIP RBG" thread when he logged in to post "work your magic, Mitch". Some of other greatest hits include wondering (not really, though) whether the 1/6 rioters were the same people protesting over the summer, his "Whitless" (name for Whitmer) comment, and he hasn't missed his opportunity to use the catchy phrases "woke" or "virtue signaling" when given the chance.
Maybe I just have too little tolerance for such nonsense and I need to work on it. Acceptance of our faults is the first step toward recovery, after all.
February 12th, 2021 at 6:33 PM ^
Brother I'm totally with you on the politics.
I've had my fill of that and people who cannot disconnect from politics.
February 11th, 2021 at 6:49 AM ^
do you mean all these maskless teammates they have been playing with all year and family members they have been living with.... lighten up...
February 11th, 2021 at 12:14 PM ^
...and one of them alone has been tested dozens of times over and over again compared to the collective tests participants on this blog has taken.
February 11th, 2021 at 1:12 PM ^
-got that right---nice dog...
February 11th, 2021 at 6:35 PM ^
That's Shanny for Brendan Shanahan. We picked up a setter puppy this fall too considering WFH. He's "Gordie".
I think we'll move on to UofM names next and the next pup will be "Carter".
February 11th, 2021 at 1:31 PM ^
These are the same people he shared a locker room, a huddle, a side line, and a football game with. I am sure they have all been tested. Plus, they are outside. I am sure they will be okay.
February 10th, 2021 at 8:03 PM ^
Considering his fitness regime and what he eats and drinks one beer would probably do that to him
February 10th, 2021 at 8:16 PM ^
I couldn't be more offended. Think about the children. Aids!!!! Covid!!!! Black Death!!!! Let's not forget how the Russians are taking our fluids. Guys, it's time to stop worrying and love the bomb! Over bagHdad. Like a cat, tied to a stick, that's driven into frozen Tampa shit.
Edit: Inspired by Das Racist. If you haven't checked them out "hahaha joking" is funski
February 10th, 2021 at 8:41 PM ^
Love me some Kale Blueberry Margaritas.
February 10th, 2021 at 8:54 PM ^
Dude done drank up Bartles *and* Jaymes
February 10th, 2021 at 9:02 PM ^
Good for him. Now he gets to go home and say hello to Giselle.
February 10th, 2021 at 9:32 PM ^
Tom tweeted he was drinking "...just litTle avoCado tequila". Anyone know what that is?? A new TB12 recipe?
February 10th, 2021 at 10:38 PM ^
It's the most human he's looked in 20+ years.
February 10th, 2021 at 10:39 PM ^
I dislike him more almost by the day.
February 10th, 2021 at 10:42 PM ^
Probably has a pretty low tolerance considering all he eats is kale and seaweed. Guessing Gronk should’ve given him a few pointers.
Either way, no one in Tampa cares. He just won a Super Bowl. They’re probably already preparing to give him a key to the city and erect a statue of him outside Raymond James Stadium. As long as he doesn’t puke all over some five year kid or kick the mayor off the side of his boat, I think he’s at a point where he can do whatever he wants down there.
He and his whole team worked their asses off for the last 9-10 months getting on the same page with no OTAs and just won a championship. I’d say they’ve earned the right to get drunk for a day.
February 10th, 2021 at 11:49 PM ^
Tom Brady and I have so much in common.
I allegedly got all sauced up once after completing my TPS reports.
February 11th, 2021 at 6:46 PM ^
Read a consulting firm's study that 38% percent of respondents admitted to day drinking while WFH.
11 months into this shit, I think that number is too low personally.
February 11th, 2021 at 4:36 AM ^
Looks like he drank himself a bunch of rum. I knew he was buzzed when he threw the Lombardi Trophy 20 yards between both of the land ships.
February 11th, 2021 at 4:56 AM ^
He's already sauced on the boat. LOL
February 11th, 2021 at 7:17 AM ^
We've all been there (okay maybe some of us haven't) but wow, not a good look, guy is always in the spotlight, I imagine that's a lot of pressure to live with.
February 11th, 2021 at 12:45 PM ^
Why is it not a good look? He's not allowed to be a regular person at times?
February 11th, 2021 at 6:47 PM ^
Genuinely curious...
what would be a proper, "look"?
February 11th, 2021 at 7:54 AM ^
Hes EARNED IT
February 11th, 2021 at 8:19 AM ^
Tom Brady is the hammer. The KC Defense was the nail.
February 11th, 2021 at 8:39 AM ^
Brady is in post-tequila protocol and is day-to-day.
February 11th, 2021 at 10:15 AM ^
I’d say the Tampa defense was the hammer and the KC offense was the nail. Brady played great in the game and didn’t make mistakes, but he didn’t do anything otherworldly.
Tampa’s defense was absolutely on fire that night, and deserves most of the credit for winning that game.
February 11th, 2021 at 12:34 PM ^
21 for 29 is a 72% completion rate. Rather otherworldly. He called a great game and the offense responded. 201 yards is under 10 per attempt average, so not so otherworldly. But, a good game was called and 135 yards rushing to boot by the backs.
I agree that the defense was excellent, too.
February 11th, 2021 at 6:48 PM ^
Defense was lights out but let's not act like this is Von Miller carrying Peyton Manning.
February 11th, 2021 at 9:23 AM ^
The GOAT can party if the GOAT wants
90% chance he wins three more superbowls then retires
haters gon' hate
February 11th, 2021 at 6:50 PM ^
I wanna see Stafford win won at home next year for the second home super bowl win in a row after having all those decades without one.
After that, yeah, let's see TB fill out the other hand with rings.
February 11th, 2021 at 11:09 AM ^
So my understanding from Tom Brady's health regimen is that he doesn't drink alcohol. Not that he has never drank, or never drinks, but that like many of us he doesn't drink regularly for his health. The dude has been to 10 Super Bowls and won 7. Even if the internet "loves drunk Tom Brady" he shouldn't be remembered for this.* He should be remembered for being the GOAT on the field.**
*he also shouldn't be remembered for his politics.
**he probably should be remembered for snagging Gisele too. .
February 11th, 2021 at 6:52 PM ^
I'm gonna get negged to oblivion for this but while Giselle and Victoria's Secret and all that... but for me, Bridget > Giselle.
February 11th, 2021 at 12:12 PM ^
Shit, I got hammered just from watching the game in snowy DC, let alone being a Goat on a Boat, MVP winner of a 7th ring...
