Congrats to me on my Friday afternoon nap. Turned on the NFL Network and started watching a replay of Super Bowl LVIII. Fell asleep right away and woke up to Travis Kelce singing Viva Las Vegas. Then there was a quick shot of a perplexed Taylor Swift that reminded me of my wife looking at me in the early drinking days.
My wife says we are Bengals fans - Joe Burrow has replaced Tom Brady as her favorite NFL QB. Tomorrow she says we will root for Jake Moody and the San Francisco 49ers. I remind her that Ronnie Bell and Ambry Thomas play there as well but, she is not impressed. I think she is now keeping a list of favorite kickers. I do not dare tell her I like Taylor Swift.
Truly, I love the 49ers and it was hard to root against them two weeks ago.

My family has a tradition of cooking sauerkraut on Thanksgiving. Growing up, my Lithuanian grandmother would stuff the bird with it, instead of breaded stuffing. We no longer do that, but we cook it up as a side dish. We sometimes add Frank's Market kielbasa. This year I am in charge of the kraut, so my house smells like the late 1960s. Wayne Walker, Lem Barney, where are you?
I doubt anyone will ever be able to elaborate on this "elaborate scheme" sufficiently, so that a sensible person says, "whoa nelly that was some elaborate scheme!"

I'm 61 and I purposely pronounce GIF wrong. I then ask my wife "is that how you say GIF?" And she corrects me in a stern tone. I enjoy this interaction more than she.
Brown rice with my wife's curry dish does not fully digest either. Odd timing in life is realizing this fact the same day a company laying new electrical lines bore right through your sewer lateral line at work.

At Sleeping Bear we planned to walk the dune trail that takes you up and over the northern edge of the park to the lakeshore. We got a late start and talked to a couple at post #9 that were both sporting block M caps. Shout out to them for the chat. Michigan people are the best. So after informing us we are at the halfway point, we decided to turn back.

Went out to eat at The Deck in Muskegon. Good food, had what was essentially a buffalo chicken sandwich. My son's smoked brisket was superb. Incredibly fasst service. Nothing but water for me. Maybe someday I will do more than wear my Two Hearted hat and actually drink one.
