Yeah, that's not what I took from that tweet. It sounds like Zach Smith is still willing to defend Urban Meyer and Gene Smith against what he believes was a "rigged witchhunt." So many analogies to what is playing out in our national politics today.

He isn't gonna spill beans on Meyer here... First off, he won't want to reveal publicly any more that is out there, and will act accordingly. All he is gonna do is rip the sham investigation and the OSU authorities above Meyer and Smith, and I'd venture he will also shamlessly give a pro-Meyer plug.

You have this spectacularly backwards.
Smith is pissed off that the investigation asked him about his drug problems, his use of OSU credit cards for personal expenses, strip club trips violating NCAA rules and the like.
He thinks he will gain sympathy by "proving" this inquiry went beyond domestic violence.

As much as I'd like that to happen, I didn't interpret Smith's tweet as saying that he's about to flip. It sounds more like he's trying to defend Meyer by saying they were searching for anything that would bring him down. That said, Smith appears to have the intelligence of a bag of hammers, so it's possible that he'd disclose some damning information in a 2.5 hour interview, intentionally or not.

That guy is still firmly loyal to Meyer. He's not going to say anything that will further damage the guy. But this is also the same guy who ordered $2,000 worth of sex toys to the athletic facility so he may be stupid enough to do it by accident.

Completely loyal to Urban as he should be, since Urban was beyond loyal to him.
But your second part is right on the money. He is so stupid that by him continuing to talk he’s only gonna make things worse. All OSU (Urban, BoT, Drake, etc) want is for him to shut up. So I’m guessing if he is truly loyal Urban will call him and tell him to stay quiet.
But if he continues to talk he’s only gonna make things worse for OSU. As an example of today’s tweet, if his intention is to say the investigation was a complete sham then all that does is apply more pressure on Ohio State from the media when they question why the investigation was not handled competently.
Let’s hope he is dumb enough to keep talking or that he has not saved any money and when child support payments and legal bills kick in, that he’s willing to extort money or take money for a tell all book.

The only way Zach Smith would flip is if he was promised money to help Meyer and the payments don’t show up as promised. I have to believe he was offered something to support Meyer. His coaching career is over forever. Why would he continue to lie for Meyer unless he is getting paid off?
