The #3 CB plays a vital role…

The #3 CB plays a vital role in this defense. Any guesses who that will be in 2019? Sims or Gray?

For me, the most BPONE thing…

For me, the most BPONE thing to happen this year is the realization that if Tyrrell Pigrome throws a ball one foot to the left, Michigan is in the Big Ten Championship, regardless of the OSU game. Yes, losing to OSU is nauseating, but I would feel much better right now if Michigan had won the Big Ten Championship and OSU was playing in some dogshit bowl game.

So many exciting…

So many exciting possibilities, and they choose this garbage. Disgusting. Time to focus on basketball.

It is profoundly stupid that…

It is profoundly stupid that the two best teams in the Big Ten will not and cannot play for the Big Ten Championship. Such an easy fix, too. Fairer to the players, and more money for the conference.

Beat OSU by 50. Get Harrison…

Beat OSU by 50. Get Harrison's commitment. Meyer announces he's retiring at year end. OSU fans will know that it's all over.

This is ridiculous. Ohio…

This is ridiculous. Ohio State made huge mistakes in that game, too. If the ref chooses to spot the ball behind the 15-yard line, Michigan wins, and both teams made all the same mistakes. Instead, he threw OSU a lifeline.

Do they take into account…

Do they take into account that God hates us and gargles OSU's balls on the reg?

I thought Indiana's tempo…

I thought Indiana's tempo had our defense looking confused and/or unready on many snaps. I hope we're ready for OSU's tempo next week.

I watched OSU and UCF games…

I watched OSU and UCF games yesterday, and I think UCF is decidedly better than OSU.

I'm going to throw up when…

I'm going to throw up when Maryland blows this game.

The referees will do…

The referees will do everything in their power to ensure OSU wins. This is a preview of next week.

How big is this class…

How big is this class expected to be?

I respectfully disagree. I…

I respectfully disagree. I believe that if Michigan wins out, it is in, even if Georgia beats Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. Here are my reasons:

Last year is not comparable. 1-loss non-SEC champ Alabama was chosen over Big Ten champ OSU because OSU had 2 losses, including a horrible loss to unranked Iowa. in 2018, the Committee would be choosing between (a) 1-loss, non-conference-champion Alabama, which just lost its last game, and has been given every break year in and year out vs. (b) 1-loss, Big Ten champ Michigan, which won its last 12 games, including easy wins over ranked teams, only loss a 1-score loss on the road against an undefeated title contender, a historically good defense, and a great story line (Michigan is finally back!). I believe the committee goes with us, to avoid the accusation of perennial favoritism.

My gut says Michigan gets in…

My gut says Michigan gets in over Alabama if Michigan wins out and Alabama loses to LSU, especially if ND also wins out. I suspect the committee would rather spread the bids across conferences, so long as the resumes are comparable, as ours would be vs. Alabama.

Thank you for posting this. Made my day.

I'm starting to think that…

I'm starting to think that the picture Zach Smith tweeted to prove J.T. Barrett made the 15-yard line is in question.

I find this YouTube clip of Meyer's losses at OSU to be refreshing at times like these.

IMO it is one of the most…

IMO it is one of the most iconic plays in college football history. I was 12 years old, and Desmond was my first sports hero, even before this game. My parents drove me to Ann Arbor from Chicago to see that game, and when Desmond returned that punt and did that pose, it felt like a religious experience.

Obvious: Howard and Woodson…

Obvious: Howard and Woodson PR's vs. OSU, The Catch

Good plays that haven't been mentioned: Deveon Smith TD run vs. BYU, Demetrius Brown to Kolesar vs. OSU, Forcier TD run vs. ND, Denard to Gallon vs. ND to set up game winner

Jabrill Peppers' career at…

Jabrill Peppers' career at Michigan was a disappointment.

I cannot understate how

I cannot understate how special a place Michigan's campus is. And I went to Illinois for two years and Michigan for two years. Michigan is special. For me, the Diag is Ground Zero for that specialness. My favorite memory of attending Michigan was watching the Westboro Baptist Church and counterprotesters yell at each other on the Diag. It was intense. Nothing like that energy at most other colleges and universities.

I wish I could upvote this

I wish I could upvote this 100x. I feel exactly like Weird Al in this clip.

Ugh. If only there could have

Ugh. If only there could have been one more play at the end of this reel...

I sincerely believe that next

I sincerely believe that next year's team is two OT's away from seriously competing for a Big Ten and/or national championship. Hopefully Hudson is one of those two OT's.

Is it possible that the

Is it possible that the coaches do not think as much of Peters as we fans do? Sometimes we're blinded by hope. Something made the coaches look to JOK before Peters when Speight went down, and I'm still perplexed by that.

Well said. Furthermore,

Well said. Furthermore, conference championships (apart from the Big 12) are unfair because the potential participants don't play the same teams to gain entry. Michigan played the only real football team cross-conference, whereas OSU, PSU, and MSU did not. Next year, Michigan plays the #1, #2, and #5 cross-conference teams from this year. OSU plays #3, #5, and #6.

Give us all your Rebels.

Give us all your Rebels.

I think the players, more

I think the players, more than anything, want to win. If Patterson gives them a better chance to do so, they'll get over the sentimental stuff. Of course, if Patterson comes to UM and flops, then Harbaugh has a predicament.

Agreed. I thought Peters

Agreed. I thought Peters looked good, and relative to JOK, he was a Godsend. Harbaugh should do whatever he thinks he has to do to win immediately.

Ridiculous. I would remember

Ridiculous. I would remember that we got in last year, despite not winning our conference. I would also remember that we choked our asses off against Iowa.

It is patently absurd that

It is patently absurd that anyone thinks OSU is more deserving than Alabama. The two arguments I hear are:

1. "OSU had more quality wins." OSU and Alabama each scheduled one good non-conference opponent. OSU was dominated at home against Oklahoma. Alabama whooped FSU, knocked out its stud QB, and essentially forced FSU into a terrible season. And just because Wisconsin played literally nobody all year doesn't make them "better" than LSU and/or Mississippi State.

2. "OSU won its conference, and Alabama didn't." This, and only ONE YEAR after OSU was gifted entry despite not winning the Big Ten. If the committee cites this argument, I am convinced they have no interest in choosing the best 4 teams, but rather only in doing whatever mental gymnastics necessary to ensure that OSU is in.

Alabama would beat OSU by 30 on a neutral field with non-Big Ten refs.

If I hear one more person say

If I hear one more person say that Ohio State deserves to be in the CFP over Alabama because it has more quality wins, I'm going to puke. Alabama wouldn't have lost to Iowa in a million years. Alabama would have demolished Michigan. It is insane to think that this Ohio State team is better than Alabama.

My God does this guy Van My God does this guy Van Ginkel make plays. He won the game against us, too.
I, too, have a hunch that

I, too, have a hunch that Woods may overtake one of the starting safeties, but not sure which one. Kinnel has always looked very average to me.

At the time, the Week 1 win

At the time, the Week 1 win over Florida was a pretty big deal. Only in retrospect was it mostly meaningless.

Generally, I agree with this,

Generally, I agree with this, and that's kind of what is so frustrating. We are very much on par with OSU, and we have been now for two seasons. Unfortunately, we only get one chance per year to play them, and only one chance every other year when we don't also have to beat the refs.

Just another reason we

Just another reason we shouldn't play them last every year.

Frankly, I'd prefer to assume

Frankly, I'd prefer to assume that a bunch of third-year players dominate en route to a Big Ten Championship, and if they earn the right to leave early for the draft, so  be it.

more Uche

I have a hunch you'll see a lot more of Uche next year, and not just at Viper. He seems like a disruptive presence, especially on passing downs. I want him and Hudson out there simultaneously.

Watching Auburn today was

Watching Auburn today was inspiring. Makes it even more sad that Michigan can't get a signature win to save its life.

Won't suck if that means Ohio

Won't suck if that means Ohio State not getting in.

I love Auburn right now. 11-1

I love Auburn right now. 11-1 Alabama takes Ohio State's fourth spot in the CFP. And Ohio State can't even complain because they got in the same way last year.

The last block is my favorite

The last block is my favorite block of all time. It is plays like this one that remind me why I must remain emotionally invested in sports.

When is the last year we had

When is the last year we had a "golden horeshoe in our butt?" I can recall about five horrible breaks for every one good break since at least the Sugar Bowl year. I mostly ask because I don't put much stock in luck, and especially not as it pertains to an entire season.

It's ironic that the people

It's ironic that the people choosing to be optimistic by saying this season went more or less as expected are the same people writing off this coming Saturday's game as a loss. Connelly even says it in his piece. I happen to believe this season has been ominous, even before Speight went down, and yet I'm not giving up on the upcoming OSU game.

After what happened in 2013, I'm never sure what will happen. I am hoping against hope that Harbaugh finds a way to win this game, obliterate OSU's hope of a national championship, just like we used to do all the time in the 90's, and flip the script on this rivalry.

I hear you. Although ND will

I hear you. Although ND will have beaten USC, NC State, Stanford, and Michigan State. All quality teams, IMO.
