Speculating about announcers for the Fiesta Bowl
So with most of our Christmas morning festivities done, my wife, kids and I are hanging out making gingerbread houses (family tradition) and we are all speculating about so many aspects of the upcoming Fiesta Bowl, one of which is who we expect to be in the booth announcing the game. My wife is hoping for Wischusen and Orlocsky but my kids are both hoping for RGIII. Any speculation for who we expect it to be?

it’s probably not common knowledge but Todd Blackledge’s son graduated from Michigan about 4 yrs ago. I drove Todd and his father from the Blue lot over to the suites in a golf cart at spring commencement. Maybe a little blue bias has crept into his broadcast??

When I met her (2020), she liked sports but had zero interest in football. After a year or two, I succeeded in getting her into Michigan football. At this point, she’s as obsessed as I am. You know that you married well when your wife is complaining about offensive line play (not recently) while simultaneously planning out her Gameday menu for big games.

Mine didn't know a thing about sports prior, knows a pretty good amount now, but not UFR level (who is lol) or die hard. Watches some big games with me, but more importantly let's me and my oldest daughter watch them.

I'm in the same boat. Met in 2007, she didn't know much about football. She was an osu fan by default (unfortunately we live in Ohio), but 15 years later she isa huge Michigan fan and knows every bit as much about football and the team as I do...probably more.

Out of curiosity I signed up for Elle Johnson's OnlyFans page and if you DM her about Michigan games she has actually OK takes. She's not going to compete with Seth and Brian, but she has opinions like, "they need to start better in the first half." So not a bad package overall IMO.

“Making” was a bit of an overstatement. Decorating is more accurate. We buy the pre-made house kits and we each decorate one. It’s a fun, albeit messy, time. Even my teenage son still likes doing it.

Love me some Jansen, but Karsch is not good. 1) His voice is too raspy for my taste. 2) He over announces M TDs. All he needs to say is "Touchdown Michigan (or some variation ala UFer) then announce the player's name.
However, we wants to repeat the play BEFORE he says TD, score, endzone etc. Karsch is better than Brandy but not by much.
Jansen will be in the radio HOF someday.

If there was a delayed Rifftrax style broadcast with persons like Brian or former players overdubbing awful announcers, showing better replays, and alternate or throwback commercials I could stand, I'd pay actual money for it. College football for fans, and not just for consumers. Used to watch Tigers on mute and play Ernie on the radio that way.
