To the contrary, if Catchafire was a friend of mine and told me, to my face about the weather for Saturday after three, or so, other people told me about the forecast, which is also forever changing and rarely accurate, I'd tell him "are you fucking serious" with a laugh and I assume he would laugh as well.

Remember that guy who posted the day of the MSU game last year saying something like, 'Good news, looks like the rain is going to miss us after all!' with a link to a weather site clearly showing that a monsoon was coming? That was the weirdest thing.

Sometimes the hourly forecast lags behind what the actual radar is saying. That is the only plausible explanation.

IIRC the problem was that the OP only looked at the forecast for game time. For some reason he didn't check any of the projections for rain after kickoff.

Honestly I don't mind the weather updates as long as there is only one per day. Like it or not, rain/wind plays a huge factor in the outcome of games. We have the better passer and worse punting unit so we stand more to lose from adverse conditions.

Really hope it doesn't rain more than a sporadic sprinkle. Going camping in South Haven this weekend and do not want to get rained out. Not terribly far from South Bend, so I'm hoping it's clear for the game too.

I hate the weather excuse about MSU. We were down 14-3 when it was dry. Most of it self inflicted but still. We lost because we played lousy.
