I’ve been reading this blog…

I’ve been reading this blog since close to the beginning. Thank you for everything, Brian. You’ll never know the impact your words have had on me and countless others. During the dark and painful times, it at least felt like we were in it together. Now it still feels like that, only we get to celebrate the impossible dream.

Go Blue.

Dotman says he’d be…

Dotman says he’d be surprised if the Smith visit actually happens this weekend. Not saying he’s right or wrong, just FYI.

Thanks for answering, Seth!… Thanks for answering, Seth! I appreciate all the work you and Brian do to produce quality content.
Thought I read that Tarris…

Thought I read that Tarris Reed was visiting Michigan tomorrow.

As someone who has never…

As someone who has never watched a race once in my life, I can assure you all that it’s pronounced formula oooon

This is an example of why…

This is an example of why Michigan will probably never be an elite football program. Worthy could’ve been on campus already, early enrolled.

You think something like this would happen at OSU? Bama? Clemson? I don’t.

Got it. Thanks, Matt! Hope…

Got it. Thanks, Matt! Hope all is well.

Do you think Glenn and…

Do you think Glenn and Rodgers are basically in the same tier as prospects? Would you prefer one over the other?

Matt,

Any update on Ty…

Matt,

Any update on Ty Rodgers? I'd love to see him in this class; hoping we have room and push hard for him.

I used to enjoy making fun…

I used to enjoy making fun of Michigan State quite a bit. It's old now, though. Winning football games against MSU is not Michigan's birthright and the jokes fall flat when we can't even beat the very people this article is making fun of (Mel Tucker, Ricky White, etc.). Want to be a bit more successful on the actual field against Michigan State, instead of just on the recruiting trail? Maybe start viewing Sparty as a *GASP* peer on the football field instead of a team that we're automatically superior to. Hopefully Michigan Man arrogance can allow for that.

No worries, Seth! Honestly…

No worries, Seth! Honestly was trying to be helpful, not snarky at all. Hope it didn’t come across in a rude way. Genuinely appreciative of you and your writing!

Seth, there’s a lot of…

There are a lot of errors in this post, my man. Davis is misspelled once (“Davos”), the flop warning was on Michigan (Mike Smith, specifically), not Maryland, an open 3 would’ve given Michigan 58 points from 55, not 57, Darryl Morsell was the unfortunate Terrapin who got hit in the face by Franz again, not Donta Scott, and Michigan is actually in sole possession of first place in the Big Ten, with a half-game lead over Iowa.

Not trying to be snarky or anything; I appreciate all the work you do, Seth!

Yikes. Most of the options…

Yikes. Most of the options floated in this post as potential Harbaugh replacements are either completely uninspiring or extremely unrealistic.

But should they fire…

But should they fire Harbaugh or not, Ace?

I would normally be inclined…

I would normally be inclined to agree with you on this but Benny was all Michigan until Saturday's game. 100% Michigan on the CB front and the 247 guys (Steve, Sam, and Allen) were dropping hints that his decision had already been made heading into the announcement on 11/9. So, in this case, it kind of does actually seem like that one game made quite a difference.

Should add that Steve…

Should add that Steve Wiltfong, Sam Webb, and Josh Henschke have all officially switched from Michigan to MSU.

"People can talk about…

"People can talk about firing coordinators or even the head coach. The former won't matter; the latter won't happen."

So... what do we do? What's the answer? I can't imagine that anyone would be satisfied with Harbaugh going 9-3, plus or minus a win, every season for the next decade. Do we have to resign ourselves to accepting an Iowa With Cool Helmets fate?

Prepare the Money Cannon.

Prepare the Money Cannon.

Not sure what it will/should look like exactly but Michigan has an opportunity to really help their recruiting with this.

So Michigan would be playing…

So Michigan would be playing three home games against MSU in a row? That seems doubtful. I’d guess it’s probably just a mistake.

Was any action taken against…

Was any action taken against the countless examples of name calling and personal attacks against WD over the years? That was always way more annoying than anything WD posted. It was like watching a group of bullies pick on the awkward kid in school.

I should add that Sam Webb…

I should add that Sam Webb and Josh Newkirk logged crystal balls for Klein to Michigan this morning as well.

Stop pretending like you…

Stop pretending like you know stuff. Last night you said Matt EM needed better sources because Ingram was coming to Michigan. Last month you said two recruits were committing to Michigan, which also didn’t come to fruition.

Not long ago you had a…

Not long ago you had a source who said it was a Michigan-Purdue battle. What do you think changed for Stanford to surge back ahead at the end?

It’s hard not to think you…

It’s hard not to think you either completely made this all up (though I don’t really know why you would) or you’re wrong, which is disappointing.

When is this second…

When is this second commitment coming, kingblue?

Posted this in the comments…

Posted this in the comments of the main board post, but... are college sports done until there's a vaccine? I guess I don't see what is going to change between now and whenever that is that would cause athletic departments, university presidents, etc. to feel comfortable with games being played.

So are college sports done…

One small thing that’s…

One small thing that’s always bothered me is that the lettering under the scoreboard at the Crisler Center says “CRISLER ARENA”. Seems like such a simple, easy fix to put the correct name on the scoreboard.

Eli Brooks averaged 32…

Eli Brooks averaged 32 minutes per game last year and was arguably the best perimeter defender on the team. I’d be very surprised if he’s not in the starting lineup.

One year less of Dax Hill. :(

One year less of Dax Hill. :(

McCaffrey being the definite…

McCaffrey being the definite next guy up seems like something people believe just because they’ve been saying/hearing it for a long time, as opposed to his play on the field warranting that level of confidence.

I don’t understand what…

I don’t understand what McCaffrey has done to inspire so much confidence that Milton winning the job would be “a massive upset.” D-Mac is hardly more proven or experienced than Milton at this point. I wouldn’t be surprised with either of them starting.

Even then, they won't be.

Even then, they won't be.

bUt He CaN't BeAt OhIo StAtE…

bUt He CaN't BeAt OhIo StAtE

Some things (most things) matter more than football. Happy to have Jim Harbaugh leading the program at Michigan for as long as he'd like to be here. I wish the general tenor of the fan base was more supportive towards him and less critical/negative.

Does anyone know why the…

Does anyone know why the Belleville staff doesn’t like Michigan? Did something specific happen?

Thanks for putting this…

Thanks for putting this together, Matt. I'm wondering if you think it's cause for concern that Michigan doesn't have a 2021 commitment or seem all that close to landing one yet. Per 247, Michigan is one of only four Big Ten schools to have not yet secured at least one 2021 commitment, and many schools have more than one kid in their class already. Especially given Michigan's need for a large 2021 haul, I guess I'm wondering if that's something to be nervous about or not.

Benny is being recruited as…

Benny is being recruited as a DT, no? It seems like we're in solid shape with and/or have commitments from a lot of interior offensive lineman. I'd like to see another Tackle in the class.

Sure. I'm not saying it's…

Sure. I'm not saying it's likely that DDJ would come back, merely speculating what might happen if Christopher commits elsewhere and Michigan strikes out on the grad transfer market. It's possible that part of DDJ's decision to leave was the expectation that Michigan would add a Guard to the roster, so if that doesn't happen and suddenly he's looking at the opportunity for an increased role with little competition, maybe he would reconsider.

Yes. You don't think he'd be…

Yes. You don't think he'd be interested in returning to a program that he already knows well where he'd step into a probable starting role?

If Michigan misses out on…

If Michigan misses out on Aiken and Christopher I wonder if DDJ would consider coming back.

Hopefully this portends good…

Sucks to see him go. Hopefully this portends good news on the Josh Christopher and/or Bryce Aiken front.

His Uncle.

His Uncle.

In other unfortunate news,…

In other unfortunate news, DeJulius' Uncle just posted on a UMHoops thread that Dave is gone as well.

Spending a year overseas…

Spending a year overseas might make more sense for Todd than spending a year Michigan does. Going overseas allows him to make some money right away, focus 100% of his time on basketball, find a roster fit that will guarantee him minutes, and will probably have a negligible, in any, effect on his draft stock (guys like Afernee Simons, Darius Bazley, and RJ Hampton were all ranked lower than Todd coming out of high school, skipped college, and still were or are about to be 1st round picks). At Michigan he’d have to go to class, wait a year to earn any money, and compete for minutes in a loaded front court (assuming Livers returns), and risk being picked apart by scouts in the states.

I'd choose A, then C, then B…

I'd choose A, then C, then B, with a much larger gap between C and B than there is between A and C. I think Livers is a better player than Christopher, but Josh fills a bigger need on next year's roster than Isaiah does.

I'm usually not one to fuel…

I'm usually not one to fuel the Twitter-sleuths but he’s also removed all the other Michigan-related stuff that was on his profile. His cover photo used to be him in a Michigan jersey, now it’s a photo of a globe with the saying, ‘The World Is Yours.’ Doesn’t seem like a great sign.

Why is he trending to Penn…

Why is he trending to Penn State? How have we arrived at a point where we can't lock up a 3 star from Cass Tech???

Charles "Charlie" Matthews

Charles "Charlie" Matthews

Not exactly. This will also…

Not exactly. This will also make it so that most businesses are no longer allowed to require their employees to come into work. That's a pretty significant change.

Upon viewing the highlights,…

Upon viewing the highlights, I have decided that adding Josh Christopher would be Not a Bad Thing.
