I don’t know if this needs its own thread but what are the thoughts on our portal needs? There really haven’t been a lot of names thrown out there. I think obviously we could use a couple of corners and have some possibilities in Upton Stout and Domani Jackson. We were after the Indiana receiver so I think the staff sees a need for a big receiver. Hard to tell with the oline on who is going and who’s staying so maybe a lineman or two? What else?

Definitely need some receivers. We really have missed on receivers in the last couple of classes, Semaj Morgan notwithstanding. Preferrably, some 6’3+ guys that are vertical threat difference makers with great hands and good body control. I know that’s a lot to ask Santa for this Xmas and most teams outside of Ohio State, Bama, Georgia, USC rarely get those guys but if we really want to be elite we need those guys for exactly the scenario we are now faced with.

First world problems but along with a top notch defense that’s how you win nattys. And then of course we need to actually target said group of receivers. 

Our current group is darn good and getting better with securing catchable balls and catching with their hands instead of their bodies but we don’t have guys like Ohio State, Georgia, or Bama that catch everything that comes within sight.
