(1) Cool shout out for JJ.

(2) Fran Tarkenton is still alive?

(3) Fran Tarkenton is on Twitter?

(4) Oh please God no, say Fran Tarkenton isn't trying to recruit Harbaugh to the Vikings...

My reactions, in some order.

Believe Gus or Klatt referenced Fran Tarkenton after the long scramble for a first down. Tarkenton played for the Vikes back when they had a ridiculous win streak against the Lions, like 20 straight. Nearest comp to today would be Russell Wilson, but I kid you not Tark was a way better scrambler. Dude was phenomenal outside the pocket and incredibly frustrating to play against.

Did anyone else hold their breath when JJ took that hit instead of going out of bounds after picking up the first down?

In any case, this was the good scramble. He had another long scramble that didn't end so well.

Tom is the NFL's GOAT, but CW is Michigan's GOAT.

Brady's exploits in beating Bama in the Orange Bowl will forever be etched in our minds as one of the all-time great Michigan QB performances.  But Woodson had a Rose Bowl that won the National Championship and included an interception in the EZ to help preserve the win, among other offensive exploits.

When Tom brings down Shaun Alexander to force 4th down, we can reconsider his application.

Imagine if Woodson was also the place kicker and the running back and threw touchdown passes. Tom Harmon is Michigan’s GOAT.

In Michigan's fifth game, Harmon played all 60 minutes and was responsible for both touchdowns in a 14–0 victory over a previously unbeaten Penn team. Harmon ran 20 yards on a lateral from Evashevski for the first touchdown and passed 15 yards to Ed Frutig for the second. Harmon also kicked both of Michigan's extra points.

I'm do old I remember watching Fran Tarkenton play.  He was the original scrambling QB, or at least he made it famous.  Amazing he played as long as he did given all the running.  1

One of the greatest things about this run, was that if you watch JJ, he keeps his eyes up and looking down field for an open man almost the entire time.  He does not curl up like a ball and tuck it and run forward (even though at times that may be the better thing to do).

I feel like the receivers are failing him.  They need to fight harder to get open/come back to the ball.  When i was younger and played receiver, there was no way someone was going to stick with me for 15 seconds.  Maybe the first 5 seconds, but i would keep moving and separate somehow.
