SIAP: Connor Stalions on Cameo

Submitted by Swayze Howell Sheen on January 22nd, 2024 at 1:14 PM

Apologies if this was posted before, but I don't recall seeing it.

Our old friend Connor is on Cameo!

https://www.cameo.com/cpstalions

I am quite tempted to get him to say some funny stuff and send the videos to my Buckeye friends.

Enjoy?

p.s. count me in the camp of being on this guy's side. He did what other programs are clearly doing but was the only one to get burned for it, and in a very public and negative way.

Amusingly enough, Connor Stallions was not with the team as they marched through maybe the toughest six game stretch in program history. Seems like the guy was putting his own career ambitions over the team and for basically no benefit since the team rattled off 4 top 10 wins in their last 6 games

So Machiavelli, I find your take to be sad.

I'm happy that Michigan football is winning and that they won a National Championship this year, but I am happy for THEM and their accomplishment.

I'm over it already and, frankly, don't understand the continuing jubilation for people who just sat and watched either on TV or on person, and I am a long time season ticket holder... but that's me.

Nevertheless, the ends don't justify the means if the means go outside the lines. It just cheapens and tarnishes the accomplishment

I'm very much in the category of "f--k Conner Stallions."

And honestly, if your defense of him is "Well he's doing what other programs are doing and he just caught got," then you're just advocating for rule-breaking at the end of the day. Its okay to say the rules are dumb and to advocate for getting them changed, but until the rule is changed, its still a freaking rule, man.

Stallions was either one of two things. Neither of which are good:

1) Either he didn't know that what he was doing was against the rules, or was in a "grey area" that could certainly be construed by many as against the rules, and he never sat down and read the rulebook and engaged a resource who could tell him what he was doing was against the rules. So in this case, he's a grossly negligent fool.

2) He knew what he was doing was against the rules or in a grey area, and he decided he was going to do it anyway. Which means he's a textbook narcissist.

His actions almost derailed the greatest Michigan team in 30 years. He almost ended their bid for a national title before they really had a chance to go after it themselves. He's not a martyr, he's not a hero. He's an idiot, and he almost destroyed a lot of hopes, aspirations and careers of people associated with this program. He put this program in a lot of danger, and irreparably damaged Harbaugh's reputation. I don't know if he has a presence on MGoBlog, if he's ever read it, but Conner, if you are reading this somehow, go f--k yourself.

Its a free country, he can do what he wants, and I don't wish ill on him. If he wants to capitalize on his notoriety then so be it. That's the opportunity America affords you, and he might as well do it now because one day he'll wake up and realize no one cares anymore. Then he'll have to go and get a real job.

But I hope the university does what it can to put as much distance between itself and Conner Stallions, now and in the future, as much as humanly possible. He has no place with this program, and I'd be okay if he never set foot in Michigan Stadium again.

Stalions is only "interesting" at this point as regards what happens to him 10, 15 years down the line.

He's still cashing in on his fame right now.  He'll likely be able to do it for awhile.  The Michigan fanbase is HUGE: even if only 3% of them think he's admirable, that's a big absolute # of people that can be "monetized."

But that will fade - it's inevitable.

Then he'll have to get an actual job, and then he'll grow older - eventually he'll be past 40 and perhaps feeling unfulfilled in life, looking back at the "good old times" where he had fame and was important.  Others got glory and careers that endured.  But he didn't.

If (I used the word "if") he wasn't a "lone wolf" as regards the last 3 years, that may be when we find out.

I know we made a lot of jokes about this and our network of spies and informants, but I would also be a bit wary of giving him too much press at this point. If this could quietly fade into the annals of Michigan history as some weird sidebar to an otherwise fantastic season where we won it all despite the reputational damage done by this guy, then I would be all for that. For many years yet, Stalions would do better to speak of Michigan publicly as little as possible, IMHO.

The punishment should fit the crime. He exercised extremely poor judgment and hurt the program. Many of us have a deep attachment to the program, and in some way, it is part of our identity. So this fellow hurt us and did so in a way that was unnecessary, misguided, and preventable. He deserved to be fired. He deserves to be shunned. If he wants to repair vacuums, make cameos, write a book, join Barstool, whatever. He will continue to face consequences for the rest of his life. He has an opportunity to clarify the record via a book. I would read that. I’m not going to discourage people from shunning him.

I hope the camp you are in does not have too many members.  The crap he pulled on Blake and how he brought negative attention to the program are disgusting, self-serving and selfish.  Every time I hear "cheaters" when people see my hat or shirt makes me more angry with this guy.  He caused that.  Wish he would get zero attention from M fans and certainly not profit from his actions.

Fuck this and fuck that guy.  Stop trying to make him a martyr.  He should be booed for eternity and be embarrassed to step foot in Ann Arbor ever again.  I can not fathom this line of thinking of acting like this fuck is some folk hero for you.

This dude seems like that guy we all know who loves to name-drop important people he's met, talk incessantly about cool things he's supposedly done, or constantly mention exclusive events that he was able to weasel his way into. At first you're impressed with his hustle and his networking skills, but after a while, you realize that he's full of shit.

Also, I think you're in the minority on this one. This guy's actions brought unnecessary scrutiny and bad publicity to the program. Harbaugh had to miss being on the sideline for three important games because this dude went rogue. I hope he's permanently dissociated from the program.

Stallions caused us a tremendous amount of embarrassment, risked so much by getting Harbaugh suspended, and seems to have defrauded Blake Corum by putting his name on a company he wasn’t part of. I don’t get how there are apologists for him within the fan base. Just the fraud alone, regardless of the rest, should make him a pariah. Please stop supporting this guy

Yeah no, he's a piece of shit who lied to Coach Harbaugh and the rest of the staff.  He also used BC2 in the name of one of his scam businesses with no input from Blake Corum.

You are extremely mistaken if you think he is any way a friend of Michigan Football.

He brought considerable shame on the program he purports to love and yet is incapable of understanding that the only honorable course of action to STFU and stay out of the limelight.

Lack of self-awareness, lack of social awareness, and lack of even low-level common sense.

Was interesting simply scrolling through Cameo. Of note:

Jenner highest asking price at $2.5k

Martelli, Jon Jansen, were on the site.

Antonio Brown is not well.

Harbaugh and Michigan as a whole got burned or did you miss that part? The whole country thinks we're cheaters, no one will remember his name in 6 mos. He was absolutely not the only one who got burned.

Fuck that guy.
