My friend in college always had a good bit of cash on him from selling... ah, I see what you mean.

Ole Miss statement they made after settling with Nutt
"Certain statements made by University employees in January 2016 appear to have contributed to misleading media reports about Coach Nutt. To the extent any such statements harmed Coach Nutt's reputation, the University apologizes, as this was not the intent," the university said in the statement. "The NCAA's Notice of Allegations dated January 22, 2016, did not name or implicate Coach Nutt in any misconduct, and it would have been inappropriate for any University employee to suggest otherwise."
seems like it could be a pretty big piece in the transfer players' favor, since OM has already admitted at least some fault in the deceptive reports. If they can prove similar deceptive things were said to Shea, anything blaming Nutt or saying he'd be the one punished, one would hope it's a pretty straight forward case.
Encouraging to hear how apparently awesome our compliance staff has been too.
Ole Miss' intent wasn't to defame Nutt, it was to deceive recruits. The mere fact that they contributed to those false media reports is enough. Incriminating text messages to recruits is icing on the cake and have been shown to exist.
My thoughts exactly. I was struggling to put that in a concise way last night lol.

Bjork is Ole Miss' Athletic Director?
Well, that's their problem right there.

If the NCAA doesn't let all 7 of these former ole miss players transfer and play immediately. Yes, the NCAA does a lot of questionable things, but I gotta believe there's only one outcome here. Not that I'm upsessing about it!!
GO BLUE!!
He has unprecedented access to Schembechler Hall.
I am sure you don't want him to be cut off. So, he does have to tow the line a little bit.
Exactly. Sam has to be a professional.

That would be amazing.

Of course he's going to say that. It's Sam Webb.

This post and the subsequent reply not only makes me happy but serves a dual purpose and will allow me to cheer on the Basketball team without looking for a crappy stream!!!

I think going into year four with possibly getting, arguably, one of the top 5 QB's in the country is not strange. Every program in the country would have loved to have gotten Shea to transfer in. Peters and Caff are legitimate power 5 QB's who could be very successful here but Shea is potentially the difference maker that put us into the playoff conversation. Not a guarantee but much more likely with Shea at QB.
Certainly possible, but I'm cautious about getting too high on the kid right now, given how many picks he threw in the time he played. I think it was 9 picks in 8 games, and it was really more like 8 picks in 6 games when you remove the two body bag games Ole Miss played before SEC play started.
How much of that revolved around the turmoil within the program or bad coaching, I don't know. He could come in here, light it up, and be the guy that finally gets this program over the hump in beating a good OSU team. I hope he is. But like you said, it's certainly no guarantee. He's the gunslinger. Very much a high risk, high reward type of football player that will win and lose you football games all by himself.
I'm going to say the same thing in this Shea Patterson thread that I saw in every Shea Patterson thread. I don't care if he starts next year. Or if it's McCaffery, or Peters, or even Milton. I really don't.
Just fix the damn OL. Solve that problem and the rest of the offense takes care of itself. If we have more of the same next year with the OL, it wouldn't matter if Brady was our QB.
