Hey now. I live in DC so I…

Hey now. I live in DC so I want him here. Commanders are starting from the ground up. New owner, new GM, new Coach, and possibly JJ as the face of the franchise. Things are looking up here.

I hope if he is considering…

I hope if he is considering a reduced roll as an analyst for DeBoer and also willing to stick around to mentor. I hope he would consider an analyst position here at Michigan. Keeping him in the building would go a long way.

There is also an updated SI…

There is also an updated SI mock having the Thunder drafting him early 2nd round. Seems like a pattern to me too. The Thunder have 3 firsts and have loaded up on draft picks over the next several years. I can see them taking a gamble on this potential.

I bought two tickets and…

I bought two tickets and will be flying to San Antonio from my home in DC to see the game in person. First time going to a NCAA tournament. My special lady friend grew up in San Antonio so she's promised to show me a good time. Go Blue!

A feelings post follows...

I feel like if this is true that Michigan already has a contingency plan in place. IMO, the plan is likely the promotion of someone already on staff. I'm curious who this may be, I'm not confident that anyone on the staff currently is P5 "head coach" ready. I feel like Elston, and others, have a good idea of what will happen and wouldn't have accepted the job to be let go a few weeks later by some outside hire looking to bring in his own staff. but I mean who knows.

Where's Duncan Robinson? I'm…

Where's Duncan Robinson? I'm not sure if anyone know this but he is the first guy EVER to go Division 3 to Division 1. And now is the dirtiest dawg in the NBA! This is a travesty I say!

RIP Keith Jackson

I think it's important to…

I think it's important to mention Mason is tearing it up in high school for one of the top ranked in the country playing other California powerhouse programs. He doesn't play for Essexville-Garber. You see what I did there?

With USC's recent history…

With USC's recent history they may just ask Helton to come back (sarcasm I know this won't happen, I'm not an idiot). That dude must have some blackmail material on someone at that University.

These are the posts I just…

These are the posts I just pray my wife doesn't come up behind me when I'm looking at it. She already makes fun of me, asking if I'm reading about all those high school boys again.

And look at that smile! Who…

And look at that smile! Who wouldn't want that kid on their team.

I think he says his timeline…

I think he says his timeline is likely signing day, the later of the two. Hopefully one of those silent commits!

I will say it here and I…

I will say it here and I will say it loud and this is not directed at OP only at MLIVE. I WILL NEVER PAY TO READ YOUR CONTENT, EVER! Just stop with that nonsense.

Is this Scott's wife? Good…

Is this Scott's wife? Good for him! Total hottie, if you're into that sort of thing!

The big question looms! Does the new Big 12 get invited to join the Alliance? The Alliance Death Star is almost fully operational! (just in case) /SARCASM

If Hutch keeps this up he…

If Hutch keeps this up he will be mentioned with Kayvon Thibodeaux and Derek Stingley to be the the #1 non-QB drafted this year! Kid is a beast!

I think all this talk of 6-6…

I think all this talk of 6-6 or worse is everyone's way of being overly excited about 8-4 and another bowl game in Florida. I really think Michigan should be better than that just based on talent but as we have seen talent at Michigan doesn't always translate to wins on the field. Maybe the new blood on the coaching staff changes that. I am optimistic but ready to be crushed. Go Blue!

This is so crazy it may just…

This is so crazy it may just work! I like your ideas and endorse wholeheartedly.

I agree the fans sucked, BUT…

I agree the fans sucked, BUT the Pistons in that era did such a good job connecting with their fans. The fans, including myself, felt like we were really a part of what was happening, part of the team. Those guys on the court were an extension of the City of Detroit and the State of Michigan. I do not condone the actions of the fans on that night but it was sort of a culmination of the relationship we all felt we had with the players on the court. Chauncy, Rip, Prince, Sheed, Big Ben, Human Victory Cigar formerly known as Darko! So many great memories!

Logged in because the 15 year old inside of me wanted to laugh! bahahaha

Looks like a teammate…

Looks like a teammate committed to FIU. Could that be his news?

bang away!!!

bang away!!!

I guess OP didn't get the…

I guess OP didn't get the memo that MGOBLOG members aren't allowed to get fired up about the football team. All doom, all Gloom all the time please. - Please note sarcastic tone.

I don't want to knock a kid…

I don't want to knock a kid for doing his thing but I really think Emoni will be a headache. And really to me it looks like he developed early. I really think several players in his respective classes will have longer more efficient careers. He is striking while the iron is still hot. Good Luck to him and his family!

I come here for the dad…

I come here for the dad jokes! Thanks!

It's been a few days since…

It's been a few days since he had Chipotle and he is ready for a delicious steak burrito bowl with extra guac! NIL!!! To be young and have that metabolism.

IMO, we should raise money,…

IMO, we should raise money, every year, for the starting holder. Someone who otherwise may not have an opportunity to get into the NIL action. We can present him with a oversized mgoblog check every year when the starting holder is announced.

Who was that guy a few years ago who was making highlight films of his holding prowess? That guy would have been a great ambassador for mgoblog!

I have often heard of Coach…

I have often heard of Coach Howard's connection to Chicago basketball and no doubt it exists. But I am still waiting for Michigan to actually land a recruit, outside of Barnes, who is actually from the Chicago area. I am talking about a highly regarded kid not a late rising lightly recruited player, I'll happily take those if Howard offers. This post should not to be seen as a "we should be doing better recruiting" post, U of M is doing great in that regard. I'm just wondering if the Chicago connection point is oversold a bit.

Addendum: EM you do a fantastic job! MGOBLOG used to be my place for football recruiting news but has become my go to site for basketball too! You have filled a huge void.

I guess you never saw Willie…

I guess you never saw Willie Mays Hayes run his 40!

Cardale Jones is his agent!

Cardale Jones is his agent!

Making conference…

Making conference championship great again!

This rule is terrible but…

This rule is terrible but let’s not get too upset. Let’s say Georgia is going head to head with Michigan for a recruit, this can only benefit our chances. But ok maybe not Georgia but definitely against Georgia Tech or Georgia Southern or Georgia State!

Seems we are being trolled,…

Seems we are being trolled, a Dax crystal ball submitted for Michigan today by Jeremy Birmingham. I believe he is a OSU insider. He also cb'd Harrison to Michigan.

Sounds like part of the OSU…

Sounds like part of the OSU Gleichschaltung to me. The propaganda arm is strong in Columbus.

At this point, is anyone…

At this point, is anyone other than Tua going to get an invite to the ceremony?

I currently live in the DC…

I currently live in the DC suburbs but am a Swartz Creek '97 grad. I played three years of varsity football and had an overall record of 2-25. Those 2 wins were glorious. I am excited to see the outcome of tonight's varsity game. Creek has already looked to have clinched a playoff birth, the second in school history, but also with a win tonight they can clinch at least a share of the league title. The first title since 1972! Brandon will be tough but we can dream! Go Creek!

Tyree Jackson from, I…

Tyree Jackson from, I believe, Muskegon Mona Shores! He is a dude!

I don't live in Michigan…

I don't live in Michigan anymore, so i don't have a dog in this fight, but Patrick Colbeck, Republican candidate for Governor is also a graduate of the University of Michigan. He worked for Boeing and was involved in a project for the International Space Station. Also, Bill Cobbs a write-in Democratic candidate for Governor attended the University of Michigan after graduating from Detroit Cass Tech, curious to see what he says about that football power in Detroit. Bill Gelineau the Libertarian Candidate for Governor also attended the University of Michigan. He is the first-ever libertarian to be on the ballot for this position to be decided at a statewide Libertarian convention. Unless you reach out to these candidates it seems you are endorsing or at least giving al-Sayed this platform as a candidate and that is disappointing to me. Go Blue!

As a long time stalker of this blog and an occasional poster. I love WolverineDevotee's dedication to his craft and the annual "everyone is officially enrolled per directory" is something I look forward to. Thanks WD.

I bet Oak Park sends Rogers…

I bet Oak Park sends Rogers and Enzo to OSU in 2020.

Any chance we offer his…

Any chance we offer his brother? He looks like a manchild in his 247 profile pic. Also I'm sure he is a workout warrior/Michigan man like his little brother.

I posted this in another…

I posted this in another thread. At nearly 6 4 260 lbs, with his tenacity, speed, strength and size would Mason ever be considered an option for WDE similar to Chase. It seems he could take over as the manbearpig which is currently Chase Winovich. I'd like to see him killing qbs and stacking bodies off the edge.

Ben Mason, 6 3 pushing…

Ben Mason, 6 3 pushing 260lbs, a true manbearpig. Seems with his tenacity, speed, strength, and size he would be a clone of Chase on the edge. Is there any thoughts about putting him out there? I'd like to see him destroying QBs and stacking bodies.

I'm confused /s. Has he…

I'm confused /s. Has he committed? Oh wait this is just a crystal ball, yes a reliable crystal, but let's wait to be a debbie downer about a non-commit until he actually commits somewhere else.

The MLB draft is the wild…

The MLB draft is the wild west, anyone can be drafted as long as you meet the MLB eligibility standards.  Not 100% sure of the requirements, but something like this, being a senior in high school, GED and of age (Bryce Harper), or just finishing your third year in college.

Bryce Harper is an interesting story he was the national player of the year his sophomore and junior year in high school. After his junior year he got his GED went and played at a junior college in what would have been his senior year in high school. This league used wood bats, and then was drafted #1.

I need proper banging if…

I need proper banging if anyone is inclined?

Seems to me

Carpenter's recruitment was odd. It seemed he was really high on Michigan a couple months ago. Maybe he had a non-commitable offer. He showed some interest in Clemson, all teh ballz moved over. My thinking is we were waiting on a commitment of a Tackle type before we went ahead and accepted Carpenter. So what I am saying here is it is quite possible we have a silent from a true tackle, Keegan, Harrod, etc. and once that was confirmed we went ahead and told Carpenter he was good to go. i think good news on the tackle front is ahead.

By the end of the year I

By the end of the year I expect Shea and Haskins to be higher on this list. McSorley is a very good college QB, and Lewerke is more proven but Haskins and Shea will be #1 and #2 (Big10) based on who wins "the game" to end the year. IMHO

Dicosmo/Herron

I think it is likely that if Herron stays Blue, Dicosmo goes to Stanford and vice/versa if Herron decides to go to Stanford, Dicosmo commits to us. Just a thought based on position, and their interest in both programs.

Rodas

Rodas Johnson looks to be teammates with Joey Velazquez, the potential Safety/Viper commit that is currently committed to the Ohio State baseball team. Both attend St.Francis De Sales in Columbus, Ohio. I hope we can reel them both in, maybe a tandem commitment!
