Quick warm tummy rub from 11Warriors

I don't recommend following the link, I just include it to add "voracity."

Nice observation from our only rival*:

  • What's extremely annoying about Michigan winning these games is that in almost every facet they're just "sort of good", with the exception of probably the best defensive line in college football in the last decade

And here's the link I don't recommend:

Enjoy the quote and carry on with your day.

They are on pins and needles right now hoping that they will land Will Howard in the transfer portal. Originally a 3 star, one year of eligibility, from Kansas State - and his numbers this season were worse than McCord's. And he would be a substantial upgrade in their quarterback room. How far they have fallen (and they aren't done falling yet).

true story:  I knew a guy who owned a very large collection of College logo baseball hats.  USC, Washington, Oklahoma, ASU, WSU, UF…. You get the idea.  I asked him where he went to school and he said “MSU; I just buy a cap for every team Michigan plays in their bowl game so I can actively root against them.”

Sure, maybe you go so far as to turn the osu bowl game on for a bit, hoping for some casual schadenfreude.

But do you have shirts made that say "Michigan Fans for Missouri" & dump hundreds to thousands of dollars going to their game to cheer for their opponent in person?

If not then you barely qualify as a fan, much less as a true hater!

And as for sparty - what bowl game?!

I think that's a reasonable take from a certain perspective.  But it discounts the team's mental toughness and the fact that the coaches and players aren't looking for style points.  Also, having a great defensive line is kind of a big deal.  So, test Michigan's Wu-tang style only if you're feeling lucky.

I didn't say, and don't think, they're better than the Georgia D-line, which was historically strong.   But that's still a test case that an elite D-line, which we have, has proven able to undo a Moore-award winning O-line.  So that will be the test Monday.  I don't think the Washington O-line has seen a D like ours, especially in the PAC 12 this year.  So I like our chances.

James Ccok & Zamir White have led their respective NFL teams in rushing for the past several games.

Adonai Mitchell caught a TD pass in his 3rd straight cfp this year - for Texas rather than Uga this year.

Jermaine Burton came close to scoring a tying TD in OT against Michigan yesterday, were it not for the heroic efforts of Mr. Josh Wallace!

And of course Brock Bower was still there for Uga in their bowl game, but they didn't need him!

Hope this helped?

This is what I was going to say. We’re very good at a lot of things.

Also, the best defensive lines I’ve seen in the last 10-15 years or so are Georgia 2021 and one or two of those Bama teams from early 2010s (can’t remember what year, I think it was the Marcel Dareus line in 2010), plus one of the Clemson teams from late 2010s.

This is what a lot of simpletons don’t get.  Michigan’s offense will not break any records or come close in top tier of some meaningless stats.  But what they do very well is have an answer for each defense they face.

Solid weapons in the backfield, at Tight End and WR. The O line that mauls in the trenches. Also a quarterback with Elite skills and mindset. He may not have been his sharpest last night but he did get driven into the turf on an amazingly gutsy play.  And they all made plays when the game was on the line.

the same can be said of the D.  If people nationally don’t know Will Johnson they haven’t paid attention.  So much was made of how Bama was gonna run Michigan out of the Rose Bowl.

So many guys made plays and it limited what Milroe could do.  He didn’t have time because of the swarming D line.  He couldn’t take deep shots because of our secondary.  They couldn’t get their RBs loose except for a couple drives.  And they got stuffed when it mattered most because their options were taken away over 4 quarters.

Elite: a select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of a group

There are 133 division one football teams. Of those teams, how many of them have a position group that one would you take over Michigans if trying to win National Championships and put kids into the NFL?

D-line: zero. RB: zero. Offensive Line: maybe 3 or 4. QB: Probably 2 or 3.  Secondary: Probably 2 or 3. LBs: Maybe 3. Special teams: (scared to actually include this after yesterday…but besides that whole thing…)

That’s six/seven position groups that rank in the top 3% of all of college football. I’d say we’re elite in a lot of places, and really fucking great across the board.

I normally don't give a shit about what other programs think of us, but just doing a cursory review of some rival sites, many seem to think whatever we accomplish this year will be vacated.  I just don't see the precedent for an infraction such as this, so it annoys me to no end that rivals say that shit.

If the NCAA is stupid enough to go that route, I think there will be a legal and/or state fight from Michigan and NCAA knows what happens there (hello Kansas. Miami, North Carolina, and Tennessee)....

They are sore losers and they can't help to see that their own team can't execute like Michigan right now... Even when they have a elite, 5/4+ elite talent rosters and not able to execute like this year team..

This team has overcome almost everything except win the Natty at this point... This will destroy them if we do... A school that tries to go and play by the books (in general except this decoding gate which might really end up being nothing; at best level II infraction that can't result in vacating wins... NCAA will lose on this as long as Michigan and AD does contest and battle it if it does arise) and is able to compete with the top schools we know are not really playing the same way...

This is what is killing the team Ohio State homers... They had all this talent but can't execute but here we are.. Michigan is 3-time Big Ten Champions and on the cusp of winning it all.... Spartans.. Well, what did they have to look forward to when pride before the fall came back to bite D'Antonio and the prior coach was shamed for non-football related issues...

That is all I need to know and state that makes those points more laughable.. Let them hope and hope when it all crashes down again.. The more they stay in denial, the more they won't heal nor get over and move on... Things won't change until the lesson learned and teams actually evolve.. JH had done that 3 years ago and this is building up to all that work at this time... It is glorious...
