Khaleke and Devin may have some conversation with him if he comes across the middle. Gimmick plays normally take time to develop so some messages from Rashan and Mo may get relayed to him via his QB.

It is even better that Coach Brown, Mattison and friends are building a defense that will put that confidence into a realistic perspective.

I ain't trippin' over a young kid talking a little trash. Realistically though, I would guess that Gregory Phillips has a rough time of it this Saturday.

...and after they go back into the locker room, bruised and beaten up by Brown's defense:

"I told you I'd fix his little red wagon. You should have seen it. One broken wheel. Axel all bent. Needed a new coat of paint. Now, I'm going home to mother!"

I like it when the OTHER team talks trash.  I know some people say it doesn't mean much.  I do think it can make a difference and give our team an edge.I know the D mentioned how some of the Florida comments made them want to make FL eat their words.

I think Michigan is taking Purdue serious for a couple reasons. One, some of the pundits are saying Michigan will get upset. Two, the offense has been sluggish at best and there is certainly room for improvement.

Harbaugh has been a little more salty than  normal this week. I get the sense there is going to be a message sent this weekend.  And I think Purdue is going to bear the brunt of that message.

I love being a Michigan fan.

EVERYONE in the country HATES Michigan. They hate our history, our coaches, our fans, our stadium, our helmets, our fight song, and our city.

It's one of the few constants I've seen through my travels. No matter where they're from, who their team is, or how much interest they have in college football, they have an unreasonable hatred for Michigan.

I can't wait for Harbaugh and Co. to finally get us over this decade(+) long drought, and then revel in how much the nation will hate us once we are in the CFP all the time, and winning B1G championships.

I experience the exact opposite.  Tons of unaffiliated people are like, "oh, that's a great school" and "yeah, I like Michigan and always root for them against OSU" etc.

Outside of Big Ten country where of course we're hated because other teams are in our conference (and maybe SEC country where they probably hate anyone not SEC, but I don't go to the south much), I hear so many positive things about Michigan.

Purdue isn't beating Michigan and I'm going to have a nice relaxing Saturday. If they think they can beat Michigan by throwing the ball, they are sadly mistaken. I bet that QB gets crushed all game.

Listen guys. Michigan got jobbed on some phantom holding call. Game over right there for AF. Losing Black sucks because he is going to be a great one, but feel he will be back for the Minnesota game. I see DPJ going offf in this game. Michigan is just an inch away in the red zone and things will startt to click. I will be watching this idiot phillips and I bet he has no impact on this game at all. If Michigan's offense clicks a little bit in this game it will get real ugly for purdue real fast.  Boy this game is getting fun real fast.

I don't hold out much hope. I suffered a green break on the outside bone of my left foot just behind the little toe when I was in school. It took about three and a half months to fully heal. Walking was pretty much okay with in three weeks or so. Running? Yeah not so much. Let alone running and getting slammed to the ground by one or two guys who weigh 220+ lbs.

Hope I'm wrong. Modern medicine and all that, but...

Gregory who?

I get it. Purdue hasnt been relavent in football in forever and now that they started off decent they feel as if they can win any game

Not going to happen. Theyll face their first defensive test Saturday and theyll see their offense isnt as good as they thought

Some people say comments like this don't matter, but I think that for a young kid it does make a difference. The defense of Michigan seems like a focused and proud group who might use this as a question of their competitive hearts. I think it's always better to do your talking through your play on the field, I hope we see Michigan do that ok Saturday.

seriously, they win a few games and think they are Alabama and have just gone and won it all! I hope Harbaugh goes bat Shit crazy in this game and we win by 50.

Won’t fault him for being confident, but he’d better be ready to back his talk up on the field. If he gets buried into the ground by Michigan’s defense he’s in for several very awkward post-game interviews.

I like how most comments make fun of the guy for being over confident while at the same time giving Purdue zero chance of winning the game.
