Blue Vet

It may feel like BS. The full title may even be BS.

BUT it's more money supporting the football program or athletic department. I'm assuming you don't want the program to have less money?

Sincerely, [title available for money] Blue Vet

[EDIT: FYI, willing to change Blue Vet to any other color but Suck-it Scarlet or Puke Green.]

Glad to hear it, but Santa also shouldn't need to do this. He shouldn't need to come in and help Warde do his job. If he's not on the same page as the university, then Warde needs to go

Michigan Football just tweeted this, which is interesting since there is no mention of Warde:

Exactly. It would have been rash for Ono to fire Warde before this, with pretty limited data and not having been here to witness any of his errors firsthand. But if, after a new contract is hopefully signed, he thinks Warde isn't a fit, then find a way to let respectfully him go. He's not an absolutely  terrible AD (let us never forget).

Right now, the last thing we need is public spat with our AD. Even if Ono is stepping in to right the ship, let's get it done and worry about recriminations later.

But Clemson has warm springs so we cant compete.

I will absolutely DIE on that hill that if the market says the coach you have is worth x$ you fucking pay that man. The Eeyore bullshit that "oh well we have to let him go" that was said on here just blew my mind. Leaders and Budget? You rake in the cash pay your top 5-6 coaches what the market says. You want to go budget then do it on the 18th admins salary. The free pass we gave there was beyond my understanding.

You mean the spin from MGoBlog? Seriously, if you read through any one of these threads, it's amazing how much momentum an idea that has very little substantiation can generate. I don't know what Warde's doing and neither does anyone here (unless they secretly work in the athletic department). We also don't really know what Harbaugh is up to. It's almost all speculation at this point. But the piling on and using of other situations to prove Warde's incompetence in this situation is really something. (For the record, I have no opinion about whether Warde should stay or go because I'm just a fan who doesn't work with the guy and so have no idea what he's like for real in professional situations).

Warde is the PR man for the athletic department not a CIA operative. "Jesus, thats Jason Bourne" nope its just our zero PR AD. Santa knows what to do obviously. You see a fire you put out a fire. Warde can be fantastic at most of his job but he is god awful with damage control and communication to the fan base in general.

There is story circulating starting yesterday about this. I considered starting a new post but didn’t due to the nature of the story, that I couldn’t see if there was any verification, and that it seemed like this would be something that would have been discussed on MGoBlog already. I will add the link later.

The summary:

Harbaugh, after the B10 Championships, was fully on board and expecting a new contract that would be on par with other top coaches.  He also wanted a bigger pay package to pay his assistants, a competitive NIL program, and a budget for additional staff and analysts.  These are what everyone, and Harbaugh, knows is required to be competitive.

Instead, Warde low balled him on just about everything and added a big exit fee if Harbaugh leaves.  The timing was close to when the infractions were coming out.

Apparently that is when Harbaugh hired an agent.

The rest is public knowledge.

This almost makes too much sense to be true. But it would explain Harbaugh’s positioning that he expects to be back.  It explains some of the tactics since that is what an agent would advise him to do.  It explains why he hired an agent which is uncharacteristic for him.  It also could explain why Santa has stepped in and why Warde is not in the tweet. Finally, it is consistent with the alum who said he had a new NIL program all ready to go but that Warde shot it down.

So in summary it all makes too much sense. My reason for not starting a new post is three fold.  1) I haven’t traced back the source though it is on other M blogs, 2) If true it could lead to a “Brandoning” of Warde, and 3) I don’t know if it’s been discussed on this board or not yet.

Finally, Warde and Jim go way back.  That’s hard to explain.

If true, fire Warde!
