They say he would be the first DB taken, #10 overall in the 2023 Draft.

This is saying quite a bit seeing there's that super freak corner that Coach Prime has. Maybe that corner should transfer here and be coached by Coach Clink. (still wish I could look at cool as him)

He looked great at the back end of the year but this is some hyperbole.  I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up a top 10 pick but he wouldn’t be a day one pick on the basis of four or five great games

I googled "... that super freak corner that Coach Prime has....." and nothing came up.

Does the OP or anyone else have an idea of who ".... that super freak corner that Coach Prime has....." is?

Not really...  There were quite a few throws to Witherspoon's side in the 2nd half, including late on the game winning FG drive.  The game thread, and several threads afterward, had plenty of posts wondering why they were throwing at him.  It was even brought up on the podcast.  He broke up a couple, forced a couple of bad throws, and almost had a pick or two.  Dude is good!

EDIT: Wait a minute...  As I reread my first post and the post I had replied to, yes - it was sarcasm!

LOL!!  Witherspoon is good...

He is good but was holding all game but not called so maybe that was just the way they chose to officiate it for both teams. Not sure.

I would like the Lions to draft him top of second if there. Quan Martin also in the 2nd or third. Mostly Illinois secondary wouldn't be too bad. Rather have Gonzalez or Porter at 18. DT for the 6th overall pick.

I think Mazi is going to be better than expected. Every play I recall he was directing his blocker where he wanted him and also pushing back double teams. In the backfield more than he got stats for. Others around him benefitted.

My exact thought right here. Carter is absolutely 100% the player that would have the biggest impact on this Lions roster. At this point I think the Lions just end up selecting whoever their top CB is at 6. It will be a reach but honestly anyone the Lions take at 6 will be unless crazy ish happens and Anderson or Carter fall.

Wouldn't mind if Levis or Stroud were still on the board and someone like the Panthers was willing to give up their 2nd rounder to move up to 6 for their QB. Adding another premium pick and getting the same player you would at 6 would be a coup.
