OT: Which Children's Cartoon Character would be the best head coach for Michigan?

Submitted by JamesBondHerpesMeds on January 4th, 2023 at 9:21 AM

Because I'm running on three hours of sleep with our infant going hog wild at night, I figured I'd add a little levity for the moms, dads, and caretakers in here:

Which character from the kids' shows you know and love should Warde consider interviewing for the role if Harbaugh leaves?

My personal vote is for the blue ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, but I imagine some Paw Patrol characters have the combination of skills and acute neuroticism needed to succeed.

Don’t bring those candy ass Power Rangers anywhere near my steak and whole milk Voltron Lions.  A fantastic entire coaching staff all in one cartoon.

Sigh.   I've run out of snark in responding to these posts.

The shitposters have won.  They've worn me down pa, I cant stand up to them with sarcasm and ridicule any more.  I'm tired, just too many shitposts.  Just too many to fight pa.

Calm down?  I was also trying to provide levity like the OP although I will say upon further review (and looking at who posted it who I like) you're right, it's not that bad.  Silly, but not that bad.

So with that in mind I'll answer the OP's question.  Johnny Quest's own Race fucking Bannon, that's who.  The single most bad-ass cartoon charecter to even grace a Saturday morning TV screen.

I applaud your efforts here, but if there’s one thing these people hate, it’s levity.

Also, Mr. McFeely. Great motor, good people skills and a hidden knowledge of power spread concepts.

I watched King of the Hill as a child, so I will say Hank Hill. His strong values and commitment to discipline would allow Michigan to play bully ball while limiting penalties. He also has a strong assistant coaching candidate with friend/neighbor Bill Dauterive who was a high school football legend who had 72 career touchdowns earning him the nickbame "Billdozer"

I actually kinda like this post. This is the kind of fun conversation that this board is missing.

Id go with road runner. He always out smarts coyote, has running in his name and is like buggs bunny but FAST.

I remember the little to no sleep days with kids.  Makes the mind do silly things, it does.  So without putting much thought into it, I'll go with Yosemite Sam - just to see him get pissed off on the sidelines cursing under his breath and then going ballistic would be fun to watch.
