Thompson was the guy defending John a week ago, so this could be ominous. Or it could just be a very minor league dust-up. Without a lot more data, it's not possible to read much more from the encounter alone.

What does strike me is the body language afterward. John looks like he's left a little bit alone there as everyone turns away.

Yeah, I noticed that too.  He kind of just stands there and then sheepishly taps a guy (I'm assuming to come in and replace Thompson).

By itself, this is pretty minor for a struggling NBA team. But in the context of the reports last week, and considering that Thompson was a guy defending Beilein, there could be something more to it.

Thompson is just trying to get traded from Cleveland. But has this dude ever successfully pleased anybody? He had a Kardashian and couldn't be faithful to her

It's worth reading the context for the little clip conveniently captured for TV.

From tweet #1:

"Sexton shooting that three instead of running offense. All the hard work Tristan has done and Collin jacking up shots to get his. Coach wanted him to get back after miss. Then after TO , dunk by TT. Coach and him argue, TT SAYA TELL HIM TO PASS"

I wondered if it was Sexton who talked smack since he played for Avery Johnson. Kid is not as good as he should be as a ball hog shooting PG. They should trade Sexton as soon as Windler is healthy—develop the core of Windler, Garland and Porter. I hope they get Wiseman in next year’s draft. Imagine the future for that team with a core of those four. Cavs would compete by year 3 with JB.

It seems like common knowledge that Sexton was one of the guys complaining about Beilein, and was the guy Thompson alluded to in response to needing to deal with it in-house.  Sexton is one of those NBA PGs who isn't really good at anything other than getting his shot (he has about a 1:1 TO:A ratio this season), and that's the antithesis about what Beilein wants in his guards.

Sexton is all of the negative things about Westbrook's game rolled into a player.

He really could be great, And you gotta keep him unless a great opportunity comes the Cav's way. However, Garland will be the better player IMO.

Speaking of young PGs, Morant looks like the next Rose. Explosive, clutch, and land all of his dunks awkwardly on one foot.
