I’ve seen all of those for Sean. But that’s just 3.
My favorite was the year I had three named DeShaun with all three versions on one roster.
January 27th, 2021 at 2:58 PM ^
As a Sean, part of me is like wtf has happened. (The other part of me realizes..not to go all srsly because this thread had been funny as shit... there's a cultural/historical thing going on with some of those names above and I "understand" it).
January 27th, 2021 at 2:07 PM ^
Speaking from personal experience women all over America had a meeting where they decided that the older popular names for boys sucked and they were apparently listening to "A boy named Sue." for inspiration.
My wife and I could only agree on one name for our son. My list was met with flat no's(along with several stories about how some kid she taught with that name did something awful once), hers was met with, "Well that'll get him beat up..." "That one will super-duper get him beat up", etc. etc. and I got a lot of shit from her friends because I kept shooting down all of the "cool" names my wife came up with. Thankfully we were able to agree on a name for our son, eventually. But God knows what would have happened if kiddo #2 had been a boy.

Ya done messed up.
January 27th, 2021 at 2:19 PM ^
Well okayden
January 27th, 2021 at 2:44 PM ^
Nick.
Edit: Sorry. Can't figure out how to make the video just come up.
January 27th, 2021 at 3:17 PM ^
As a representative of Generation X, I can't answer that on a general level. I can say that I am sure my wife and I did not do a terrible job, although I cannot forget the time that this one person kept saying "Ashley" when we had told her multiple times that our daughter's name is "Astrid". It's just other people sometimes.
January 27th, 2021 at 3:39 PM ^
I hear you. I have an unusual last name (legitimately have never met, nor heard of someone else with my last name) and my oldest has a first name that is a common last name (if that makes sense). So naturally, people think his last name is actually his first name all the time. Lol.

I legit know a girl who named her kid...AIR
Seriously wtf

I remember when he came out of HS he was supposed to be the absolute real deal. Came from that powerhouse football program in Vegas and I'm not sure he ever lost a game as a starter. Guessing his football career hasn't exactly panned out the way he envisioned it would.
January 27th, 2021 at 2:03 PM ^
In his defense, OSU never really needed him and he doesn't exactly fit their recent mold of big, strong QBs that function as a 2nd running back most of the time. He was productive in HS but who knows the competition he faced.
We've seen a small amount of transfer QBs come out of the portal and be successful but there's probably plenty more that we never hear about again. Thinking he'll probably fall into the later category there especially after his 147th transfer to a new team.
January 27th, 2021 at 5:26 PM ^
Seems like he would've been more suited to stay at OSU had the pre-2018 offense stayed in place. Which makes sense because that was the time period in which he was recruited.
Seems like once that transition happened the writing was on the wall for him.
January 27th, 2021 at 2:27 PM ^
don brown ended his career
January 27th, 2021 at 1:44 PM ^
For whatever reason, Urban put him in the game twice in short yardage situations against Michigan and got stopped both times. Otherwise, the final score is even worse.
January 27th, 2021 at 1:45 PM ^
The silver lining is that after 10 years of college he’s grown a couple of inches. Still has to look up to Kyler Murray though.
January 27th, 2021 at 1:46 PM ^
5th time is the charm!
January 27th, 2021 at 1:47 PM ^
Can we recruit his girlfriend instead?
January 27th, 2021 at 1:49 PM ^
His Instagram post is the funniest thing I've seen all day: https://www.instagram.com/p/CKjp_1KgtDB/

Turrible

"Roll it"
Who is this meant for? Are there coaches scrolling through Instagram looking for this content? ?
January 27th, 2021 at 2:25 PM ^
It's meant to show Tinder dates he really does work out and even played a little football at one time.
January 27th, 2021 at 6:25 PM ^
I'm gonna say Scott Frost.
January 27th, 2021 at 2:12 PM ^
Impressed he got Vanilla Ice to star in his video.
January 27th, 2021 at 7:22 PM ^
Was thinking the exact same thing! Question is can he "stop, collaborate, and listen"?
January 27th, 2021 at 3:21 PM ^
What in the hell did I just watch?
January 27th, 2021 at 3:59 PM ^
Son, I admire your courage but you'll never play QB at the college level
with big, black rubber balls as hands.
January 27th, 2021 at 1:51 PM ^
He’s already 23, how many more years of eligibility does he have?
January 27th, 2021 at 2:09 PM ^
If he transfers to BYU and goes on his mission then he could be playing until his 30s
January 27th, 2021 at 2:00 PM ^
He should go the community college route at this point then the CFL (would his peak)
January 27th, 2021 at 2:21 PM ^
if Johnny Manziel couldn't make the CFL I don't if Martel could. So maybe he could join the fan controlled 7 on 7 league Manziel is now in?
It would be fun to see an almost has been go head to head with a never was in in a league where drunk fans call the plays.
January 27th, 2021 at 2:21 PM ^
Just go to the CFL dude
January 27th, 2021 at 2:22 PM ^
Martell crossed... again. #Replacement'd
January 27th, 2021 at 2:27 PM ^
Sparty need a qb?
January 27th, 2021 at 2:27 PM ^
I swear I only hit 'Save' once.

D'wan Mathis (Belleville):
Iowa State to Michigan State to Ohio State to Georgia to Temple
January 27th, 2021 at 2:41 PM ^
Now that's a punchable face.
January 27th, 2021 at 2:59 PM ^
Good point and he looks like he could be related to the Cobra Kai guy...
January 27th, 2021 at 2:43 PM ^
Jersey collector.
January 27th, 2021 at 7:25 PM ^
Just like this izziot...
January 27th, 2021 at 2:54 PM ^
Think we have a chance?
January 27th, 2021 at 2:59 PM ^
I had wonderful visions of him being the starting OSU QB.
January 27th, 2021 at 3:11 PM ^
Who knows what went on behind the scenes, but he wasn't bad at all during his time at OSU; garbage time, but still.
January 27th, 2021 at 3:23 PM ^
I believe he set an osu record for highest completion percentage in a game. 10/10 (or something like that)- so he will forever be in their record book.
January 27th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
I believe our Tate can say the same! He once went 10-10 (or 11-11) in relief for Denard during a blowout.
January 27th, 2021 at 3:25 PM ^
So like a year at each program for 5 or 10 years while he transfers and sits and works on that bachelors. Got it
January 27th, 2021 at 3:49 PM ^
Time to go mid-major Tate. You're not a P5 QB pal, sorry.
January 27th, 2021 at 3:54 PM ^
Ummm, pretty sure that's pronounced "Taint".
January 27th, 2021 at 4:03 PM ^
Someone edited his wikipedia page earlier to say he was going to Penn State in 2021 but then they erased that. Hmmmm .......?

Going to go out on a limb and say, keep an eye out for Bowling Green as a landing spot.
Don't have any information at all, just a gut feeling.
