Such a shaaaaame that QB1 hasn’t worked out!  Originally committed to Washington and then Texas A&M before signing with OSU from where he left for YTM from where he is currently transferring.

Speaking from personal experience women all over America had a meeting where they decided that the older popular names for boys sucked and they were apparently listening to "A boy named Sue."  for inspiration.

My wife and I could only agree on one name for our son.  My list was met with flat no's(along with several stories about how some kid she taught with that name did something awful once), hers was met with, "Well that'll get him beat up..." "That one will super-duper get him beat up", etc. etc. and I got a lot of shit from her friends because I kept shooting down all of the "cool" names my wife came up with.  Thankfully we were able to agree on a name for our son, eventually.  But God knows what would have happened if kiddo #2 had been a boy.

As a representative of Generation X, I can't answer that on a general level. I can say that I am sure my wife and I did not do a terrible job, although I cannot forget the time that this one person kept saying "Ashley" when we had told her multiple times that our daughter's name is "Astrid". It's just other people sometimes.

I remember when he came out of HS he was supposed to be the absolute real deal. Came from that powerhouse football program in Vegas and I'm not sure he ever lost a game as a starter. Guessing his football career hasn't exactly panned out the way he envisioned it would.

In his defense, OSU never really needed him and he doesn't exactly fit their recent mold of big, strong QBs that function as a 2nd running back most of the time. He was productive in HS but who knows the competition he faced.

We've seen a small amount of transfer QBs come out of the portal and be successful but there's probably plenty more that we never hear about again. Thinking he'll probably fall into the later category there especially after his 147th transfer to a new team.

For whatever reason, Urban put him in the game twice in short yardage situations against Michigan and got stopped both times. Otherwise, the final score is even worse.
