OT sort of - MSU chant

So I'm sitting here with my son at the Michigan State game, watching an absolutely mediocre Michigan State team keep Central Michigan in the game, and the chant that comes up in the middle of the third quarter is F**k Jim Harbaugh.

I suppose I can understand the hatred of the the school or even the football team, but wtf is the reason behind the hatred if JH?  

BTW, MSU is going to lose a lot of games this year.

Are we surprised that they’re more interested in insulting Michigan rather than cheering for their own team?

Because they have the penultimate inferiority complex and we live in 'lil brothers head rent free!  A good 90% of them wanted to go to Michigan and DIDN'T GET IN!  But of course they will say they did and they chose to be at staee!!!

So much for thinking that the past 11 months would have taught them that there's more important things in life than hatred for another school because of sports.

I've been around more than enough MSU and OSU people over the past 30 years, and I still maintain that the level of respect and class between UM and OSU is much better (ie. healthier) than with our neighbors an hour west of Ann Arbor.

Yet again, we see that "little brother" is not really belittlement, for it is an accurate depiction of their entire sports culture at Michigan State. Even when we were having a rough patch with them not that long ago, that is who they were. It is what defines them.

It’s like Brian said in his write up after the MSU game last year. This is just who they are. If memory serves, that was quite literally the title of his write up.

Any one of the coaches or staffers could’ve stopped the shenanigans in the tunnel last year and they didn’t.

This is who MSU is. It’s in their DNA. It’s like Chuck told Jimmy in Better Call Saul. “This is just who you are.”

Probably the only set of fans to wholly side with the NCAA over BurgerGate. Which tells you what you need to know. 

They know they’re in for a shit season. Their glory days with Dantonio are over. Up and vanished like a fart in the wind. The chance to ruin Michigan’s season is all they have, so they will pour every last ounce of their being and essence into that pursuit.

Every opening game I hear the same thing about how bad MSU is, and it seems like that moment is the pivot point, and they take off and beat their opponent by a wide margin.  When you posted this, was it 10-7 ?
