1. When I was a freshman/sophomore in 1977-1978, I lived in Cousins and delivered pizzas for Omega Pizza. You could get a plain cheese pizza with extra crust and extra sauce delivered for $3.95. I still remember the cheapskates who would order a $3.95 pizza delivered, give me $4.00 and wait for the nickel in change. Good pizza nonetheless.
2. Also when in AA during that time I fondly remember the Parthenon Restaurant at the corner of Liberty and Main. I had never had an gyro until I went to college and to this day, I have yet to find one as good as I got at the Parthenon.
I was at the Illinois game yesterday and Rutgers last Wednesday. They will definitely check you vaccination card (a photograph on your phone will do) and require you to wear a mask unless actively eating or drinking. During timeouts they walk the stairs and ask people who aren't wearing masks to put one on.
I don't recall them asking me to show my driver's license to verify it was my vaccination card but was certainly prepared to do so.
Last year I played Las Sendas in Mesa with my son. It was very nicely maintained, reasonably priced, and definitely had that desert golf feel that we were look for.
I graduated from high school in 1977. One of my best friends came to U of M with me. About 6 weeks into our freshman year, she decided to transfer to MSU. Her transfer simultaneously increased the IQ of both MSU and U of M.
IMO, grad transfers are great at certain positions but not offensive line. With all the injuries that happen on the o-line, good players wouldn't transfer. Anyone on the 2 deep is too valuable to let go and anyone below that isn't worth a scholarship.
I know someone else suggested the visitor's side, but having sat in various locations, I really prefer the home side of the field. There is nothing more exciting than hearing the band play the M Fanfare. Plus, the sun won't be in your eyes.
I don't know when the team started practicing for the Europe trip, but this team has been playing basketball games since August. I hope they make the NIT because they are so much fun to watch, but if they don't, they deserve some time off.
Oakland, or any other NFL team for that matter, doesn't need SF's permission to talk to JH now that they have agreed to part ways. My guess, however, is that SF only agreed to part ways with the explicit agreement that Harbaugh not coach in the NFL next season.
I have watched several local and national news reports about the protest. All focus on two things:
1. The fact that we are 2-3.
2. The concussion and the way it was handled.
While I agree that it is hard to imagine how the athletic department could have handled this worse, for most of us, that was just the straw that broke the camel's back.
In my opinion, Hoke is over his head and for whatever reason, can seem to turn this team around, but I don't believe he would knowingly put a player's health in jeopardy.
Brandon has tried to commercialize the department and ducked responsibility whenever challenged. He is poisoning the system and needs to go first.
I know that in recruiting finishing anything other than first with a recruit doesn't matter, but I am happy that this coaching staff/program could give him something to think about after coming to the party so late. It suggests to me that we will start winning more of these battles moving forward.
Last year we had to go through Kansas and Florida to get to the Final Four. Although we could have had an easier path, I believe in Beilein and his ability to get his teams ready if he has the time. Go Blue!
All fall, all we heard was how embarrassing it was that the students were arriving until midway through the 1st quarter. They have announce at least twice that this is a sell out crowd but there are so many empty seats in the lower bowl it looks like a scrimmage. The only place where there are no empty seats is the student section.
Remember when going 8-4 was considered a bad year? That was the reality when Lloyd Carr was our coach. Last year we were happy to get to seven wins. There is nothing wrong with wanting the perfection that we experienced in the national championship year but we didn't always do a good job of appreciating what we had-a clean, winning program that turned out outstanding young men. I am not a RR basher but we have to return to some of the glory we experienced under Lloyd.

Can he do all the MSU postgame news conferences?
We'll be fine. I hope.
Welcome to the family! Go Blue!

If you win your conference tournament, you get the conference's automatic bid.

Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead
IIRC, McGary set a screen earlier in the game that also resulted in a VCU kid losing his teeth. Does anyone have a gif of that?
I have to scroll though about 7 old entries dating back to July 2009.
Does anyone know how to delete them or reorder all the posts chronologically?
Irene's Cuisine on Saint Phillips Street. Best meal I've ever had.
