Submitted by BursleyHall82 on

Good news for us Detroit fans. The Pistons beat the Wizards to quality for the playoffs for the first time since 2009.

I'll admit I was a lil skeptical about the amount of money Detroit gave him. he has a few things he needs to work on but this is his 1st year as a full time starter, as time goes on he'll learn the in and outs about running the team. Im excited about the future of the Pistons they just need to lock up Drummond at season end.

It's my opinion the Pistons need to stop meekly taking him out of games when the other team goes into hack mode.  The Bad Boys wouldn't have put up with this shit.  Dennis Rodman was a poor FT shooter too and if other teams had repeatedly hacked him, Laimbeer would've turned up the Laimbeer to 11.

No Pistons team ever won a title that wasn't nasty and intimidating as hell.  If the opponents want to play fouly-foul, then I say start giving it back in spades.

I was a huge fan of the Shaq and Kobe Lakers teams. Rooted for them over Chauncey, Big Ben, Rip, all those guys. I was young and dumb and now full of regret. Forget that. DEEEEETROOIT BAAASKETBALLL

Dre and Reggie are non negotiables but everyone else is fair game to trade IMO.  It's great we made the playoffs but we aren't going to get far without at least one more All-Star player.  We would be in great shape if Reggie is our 3rd best player and Dre is 3b.

Wheel and deal, Stan.

Dude has been a great pickup.  If he continues to progress like he has, he could be that 3rd fringe All-Star player to go with Mr. October and Drummond.

Honestly, I'm hoping that the Pistons can use their mid-first round pick to spend on Caris.  Stash him away for a year to let him heal and he could present another matchup nightmare on this team.

of the first or the beginning of the 2nd for Caris, but I'm not sure the Pistons can risk a pick in the 18-20 range on a guy they aren't positive can stay healthy. Rather go for one of Marquese Chriss, Wade Baldwin, Demetrius Jackson or Thon Maker.

but a lot of good prospects have had a build similar to him. Amir Johnson was 6'10, 205 coming out of HS.  Clint Capela at 6'11, 220, Porzingis at 7'3, 230. Then you've got Maker at 7'0, 220.  Sure, Maker needs to put some weight on, but I don't think he's built all that different than Johnson, Capela or even Skal Labissiere.

I guess I just have to remember he is 7'ft. But it's not just the number of his weight, look at his body style, ectomorph. The least desrible body type, he will never pack on mass. To be a good player he would basically have to be KD, and good luck with that.

If Dre was your 4th best player, you probably have one of the best teams of all time. If that's what you want for the Pistons, you're asking an impossible task of SVG.

He has oodles of potential still to be found and he's made great strides on the offensive side of the court. Needs to shore up his defense and be more consistent. If he just becomes a 50% FT shooter, he will be able to stay on the court longer. And I think it's possible because his stroke is pretty solid. Mental thing right now IMO.

Core of the Pistons are all 26 or under. So they have yet to hit their strides. Depending on the offseason, I think we could see a big jump forward for them next year.

New York sports fan at heart, since I was a young lad (Giants, Knicks, Rangers, Yankees). But as a Metro-Detroiter, I'll always root for my hometown teams as well. Go Pistons!
