The Lions are in Minneapolis facing the Vikings with a chance to win their first conference title since 1993.

Lions currently knocking on the door of their opening drive.

Is the defense really on Glenn at this point, or is it on Holmes?

Of you can't get home with 4 then you have to put the defense in further conflict. Defense needs upgrades... Maybe if Gardner-Johnson and Houston get healthy and can contribute I'll feel differently.

The offense has to win games for us. That's why it's important for us to have the 2 seed.

Odds are, even if the Lions lose the remainder of their games, they will still back into the playoffs. A poor defense will make Detroit a one and done team if they make the playoffs.

Not sure why someone would downvote that as it's simply what this team is right now. The offense can play with anyone, the defense is bad.

I think they're in the playoffs regardless but I'm not sure their defense can keep them in games in the playoffs. Maybe returning injuries can bolster them.

I mean, I get it. We all want the playoff win.

But to call a season for a team that hasn't even been to the playoffs in seven years and hasn't won their division in 30 — yes, thirty̆ — in which they do both a "failure" seems harsh, to me.

(Still. It would be awesome if they won a playoff game, no doubt).

Lions may be in a position where they need Green Bay to win the division for them. Not sure how this Lion defense slows down their passing game even with Nick Mullens at QB. You gotta get at him but I'm not sure Detroit can without sacrificing some coverage against one of the league's best WR trios and Hock.

And fumbling after a big gain won't help you in your efforts. It may unfortunately be up to Green Bay to do it.

Lions dont have a chance today if they lose the turnover battle...(shocking analysis I know). I'm already prepared to see Mullins throw for 300+ today too...

Edit: as im writing this he throws the pick so at least there is that. Hopefully the gifted INT Branch dropped in the endzone doesnt come back to haunt them...

lions defense might not be great, but they have played much better than most are giving them credit for.  last week - very good.  week before gave up 28 pts, but the offense was giving up the ball repeatedly.  this week, so far, one bad drive and have since shut the vikes down.

they aren't going to shut anyone out, but they aren't complete garbage, either.
