The point was about how they are defining a fumble vs incomplete, regardless of who subsequently recovers it.

That wasnt even close (relatively speaking) to a fumble. No issue with letting the play go and revieing it.
Minnesota players and coaches going nuts about that call is absolutely ridiculous.

Before they picked it up I was bothered by that. The cost:benefit is garbage. What, you get the 3rd down stop and field the punt at the 15 with 20-30 seconds left?! Try to block the punt?
Instead they go from taking it to halftime or at least making them use a TO if they wanna keep pushing it and now they score to make it a 3pt game.
The risk to reward there was simply not worth the TO and especially against the best WR in the game.

Yep. Even if everything went to plan, the Lions would have had barely any time to do anything. There was no way that was worth giving Minnesota another chance to score a TD.
