OT: name your pet peeve recurring post on the board
In one of the locked threads, someone proclaimed ‘this post is bad, and you should feel bad about it’ to be (in that poster’s view) the dumbest, most overused recurring post on the board.
We all have them - that one post that is nails on the chalkboard. What’s yours?
I’ll go first: “He gone.”

Any post that bashes a recruit committing. I get the "stars matter" argument and that osu is recruiting at never before seen levels, but I hate when someone gets bashed for committing the next 3-5 years of their life to try and help my alma mater win games, get a world-class education and is signed by a staff that knows more about football than any of those delivering the bashing.
Exactly, and add to that the fact the actual recruit or his family could be reading all tbe negative posts. I remember not many years back when Craig Dunaway's (former Michigan TE) son committed and a bunch of posters questioned his signing, resulting in Craig making a response on the board.
Along those lines, though it wasn't about football, I have several family members extremely close to Austin Davis. I can promise you one of the reasons he never seriously considered transferring was the online crap he read when he first committed to Michigan. Getting minutes at Michigan and proving he could play was far more important to him than transferring to a MAC school and being a starter.
I'm not suggesting we should all be slappies because I can't stand that, but maybe we should wait for a recruit to actually see the field / court before we freak out?
I'm glad he stayed and even happier that he's proven the idiots wrong.
To add on, it’s not just recruits. We don’t need to actively root for transfers or bash former players. People were outright gleeful that Shea got cut by the Chiefs. Like yeah you wanted more wins and DPJ didn’t bring a three peat of championship rings. They still put a hell of a lot of effort into winning football games there’s no need to shit on them. A lot of posters on this board have college aged kids and should know better.
alternatively, we could just not “freak out” about kids that don’t live up to our standards. you know, don’t be a dick.
The people who make recruit bashing posts are so utterly classless. I came here to say this but it looks like it's all been said. I really have nothing else to add.
To anyone reading this, if you participate in this garbage, STOP. You're a disgrace. Stop being a piece of trash and do better.

If Futureama was on the same animated entertainment plain as Family Guy, South Park, and The Simpsons, then more people would get the reference. Its a decent show that has its moments, but is a step below the top 3...

Futurama is infinitely better than anything the Simpsons have put out the last 15 or 20 years. Even Matt Groening prefers Futurama to The Simpsons.

If we're being honest, I'd have to say any post by Sam1863. This clown is the worst. He only has an elementary grasp of football strategy, doesn't keep up with recruiting, and doesn't even know how Twitter works, let alone use it to follow the every utterance of a 17-year-old high school athlete. Hell, the guy didn't even attend the "real" UM, but graduated from the Flint campus, which is nothing more than a glorified community college. As such, he doesn't have any first-person Ann Arbor stories of sharing a class with an All-American lineman who was really a nice guy (or a dick, depending on the lineman), and doesn't even know what "Skeeps" is.
Plus, his misbegotten attempts at "humor" are nothing but long-winded rants that go on and on and on ...

Sam1863, if you happen to see that tool Sam1863, you might want to let him know that the University of Michigan-Flint has some terrific students and some terrific teachers. Education is what you make of it, not the title of the place.

Same here, Class of '82. When I started there was one building, the poetically-named CROB (ClassRoom Office Building) and a big muddy hole that would become the University Center. For math and science classes, you had to take a shuttle bus to the Mott Memorial Building.
Now the place is so big that the last time I stopped by to look around, I got lost.

The political threads that used to be kept off this board but are somehow now left up for long periods of time. It used to be that anything remotely political was removed quickly.
IIRC there used to be multiple mods that would clamp down on stuff quickly. As far as I can tell, there hasn't been more than 1 or 2 at a time for a while now

Otherwise... I dislike it when someone posts an OP with only a brief subject, maybe a link, and calls it a day. It's even worse if the link is a video! Summarize what you're linking - what are the highlights? What is the take-away you got from the link? Why are you posting this?
Just relax, make a decent post that can help the reader get interested in what you're interested in. Don't be in such a hurry - or be so lazy - that you make a shitpost. If you want to avoid duplicate posts for a hot subject, open the Blog in a second tab just before you click 'Post' and check!
