The Wire, by a mile. It tied things up so perfectly with everything coming full circle. You get a new omar, a new mcnulty, a new bubbles, it was perfectly done.

Easily the worst of the 8 seasons. Visually captivating as always, but the plot was rushed, the writing was terrible save for a few scenes here and there, a whole ton of questions left unanswered, and everything overall just felt forced. I would've rather they'd taken another year if it meant they could get the season to a full ten episodes and flesh all the storylines out properly.

The previous seven seasons still hold enough weight for me to consider it one of the best shows I've ever watched, but season 8 was like taking a beautiful 72 oz Porterhouse and topping it off with cheez-wiz and ketchup.

The Leftovers had a very underrated finale.  For any fans of the show who only watched it one I would suggest watching it again.  There is A LOT there but it is hard to see in on first viewing because the entire episode is very disorienting.  There are actually some strong hints in the finale that much of the content that came before was the audience's experiences of Nora and Kevin's mental illness than events that were even supposed to be grounded in fact.

Just binged thru and got to the ending of How I Met Your Mother - I'll put that in my top 3.  Newhart would be my tops though.  Seemed I liked M*A*S*H ending but it was so long ago I don't remember it.  Actually had a party with friends to watch the end of Seinfeld...disappointed!
