Guy is such a garbage coach, born with some kind of silver spoon.  Nothing but mediocrity in his career, yet he's landed 3 huge gigs.  Got the USC job with a flop of 34-29 at Washington.  Went 12-6 at USC and embarrassed himself.  LOL that the richest blue blood in CFB would hire him for a 3rd try. That AD needs to be fired with him.

Nine years as a HC, best record 9-4, which he's only done once.  Wins 56% of his games.  He's essentially an 7-5 lifetime coach and has coached 3 traditional powerhouses.

Some schools and people have great runs of hype and PR. Remember hearing about Lane Kiffin around that time?

Kansas basketball is another good example. I think it started with the ace self-promoter Larry Brown. I realize they've actually won championships, but you'd think they were the best team every season.

This thread should be titled “another day Sark is a shit and an idiot”.

He reminds me of a guy I once knew who had a reputation as a “great” sales guy.  Except the only great sales he ever made were convincing companies and CEOs to hire him and pay him a lot of stock and cash without performing.

I don’t get why ADs and especially the media are so easily taken by his BS despite the lack of performance. Seems like an obvious fail to most of us.

Right? This guy exists in almost every business. There was a guy like that hired in my group way back when, and the rumor was he was making $100,000 (back in 1995, that was a lot of dough for a mere copywriter in advertising). He had one great commercial on his reel but then never produced a thing. He was forever known as "hundred thousand dollar guy." I wonder whatever happened to him. He only stayed about a year.

Definitely a cheap shot.  I recall all it was was a DUI right after Moeller found out his wife was cheating on him with his coach Les Miles?  And it happened once in his life (the DUI. Miles was rumored to have slept with other wives)

And Bushwood above, wants to compare this to Sark who has a history of issues and who yells and berates a staffer responsible for holding him and his team back before they run on the field.  Coaches, players, staffers, and refs have to put hands on chests all the time in football games.

Any guy who aggressively attacks someone in this kind of situation has issues.

This is the same energy as the tailgaters that try to ram you off the road because it is going to take you a few seconds to get to a safe opening to merge right to let them pass by.

no it isn’t

if you’re only going 5 over in the left lane, stop doing that and get the fuck out of the way. if someone is on your ass, get out of the way. don’t take 13 minutes to very slowly pass 8 cars and 3 semi trucks. move the fuck over for just a sec and let other people through. then go about your day. holding up 9 people who want to go 12 mph over the limit is a dick move and shows either ignorance or control issues

I’ll never get why people want to be the police and try to regulate everyone else’s driving speed.

He was off the rails at the University of Washington, then at USC, now there. Letting humans like this 'lead' young adults only creates more malformed humans. He should have been fired by UW and left to work the Taco Bell drive-through for the rest of his career.

You act like the guy shoved him and forcefully pushed him back.  It was nothing more than a 'hey, wait for a minute' - something every person anywhere has done to control pedestrian traffic.  Reacting like he did was asinine.  Justifying asinine behavior because some guy softly held up a hand to say 'hold on' is complete bullshit.

Not acceptable behavior, but I would like to see the whole sequence. I'm sure that at the start of a game you're tense AF. Not clear just how patronizing that guy is being, but I don't generally like people touching my chest. I'd hope that I could quietly tell the guy to stop touching me, NOW, but i could see feeling a little claustrophobic.
