This will be the thread for hot takes about the overall coaching performance.

We outcoached the hell out of them.  Insane.  Threw enough to make them change and ran it down their throat.  Defense bend but don’t break.  They were getting 5 yards every play on run and like 15 every pass and we almost shut them out second half?!  Also they lost their shit with the penalties.

At the end of the first half I thought about this thread and said, "Oh its going to be ugly with that clock management."

But that 2nd half...WOW! Jim and the coaching staff pulled out all the strings and put on a masterful display. That was amazing!

Didn’t drink at all during the game.

Two victory beers afterwards.

First time in my Michigan fandom seeing what it’s really like to be Michigan at its best. And I fucking love it.

No flu or weather excuses this year. It was a perfect day for football. And like we said all damn year after the snowy game, it wasn’t the weather. It was a better team beating down a mentally soft opponent.

OSU brought more fight this year, at home, with perfect weather…and got beatdown even worse than a year ago.

Dear OSU fans: told ya so.

The best part is: We keep playing football! What a win!!! For the ages. Loved those first down long shots. Saved.the half back pass for the least likeliest guy to ever throw a pass -- ever. And it worked. Play of the game. What a win!!! Incredible. WOLVERINES!!!!

Fuck em.

11-1 and you want to fire your coach.

Good. Do it. It’s about time OSU found out what it’s like to wander the wilderness of mediocrity. They’ve been spoiled like nobody else in the country except Bama.

If we acted like them Harbaugh would have been gone years ago and this - beating great OSU teams in back-to-back years - would have never happened.

They need some Rich Rod and Brady Hoke type of years to gain some perspective imo.

Coaching was masterful. Your best player wasn’t good enough to play and his backup had one hand. You couldn’t run at all because they were overplaying to stop the run.

And you had JJ and the receivers ready to meet the moment.

Just glorious game planning and execution. Not gonna lie, it felt like “one of THOSE” OSU games in the 1st half. But then JJ made a quick throw to CJ avoiding a blitz, CJ breaks a tackle, and game on.

I don’t have words. I thought it was a sure loss with Corum like that. I’ve never been happier to be wrong.

Go. Blue.

Really excellent on our side.

On their side though...

I sort of thought they might dial up a heavy dose of cover 0 to stuff the running game, JJ was pretty shaky last game, and it would take JJ hitting the target to get them back to a base look.

But then JJ hit the target over, and over, and over again, and they never came out of cover 0, was it worth it guys? How many roughly 80 yard plays did they give up?

This was coaching negligence, they've got to get rid of that coordinator.

Breathtaking, like literally I'm having trouble breathing after watching this.  The experience of watching that game was like riding my favorite roller coaster happily buzzed on my favorite wine with all the strangers on the ground giving me a big thumbs up the entire time.

It still seems impossible, but it really happened and these coaches deserve a mountain of credit.  They held up just long enough to start throwing haymakers and they landed, and landed, and landed.

We won .... !  Coaching ... offense ... defense ..... Who cares!  Woo Hoo

I will say this about the coaching ... class act putting Blake in there at the end to finish it off.

He was a HUGE reason for how good we have done this season.

As one who has argued that JH was not balanced enough this year on offense....those second half adjustments were simply brilliant.

We have seen great second half adjustments all year, but they were usually more noticeable on D.   Today it was the offensive adjustments that made all of the difference.

Contrary to what one might have predicted, when OSU stayed in the single high safety coverage, Michigan burned them with explosive passing and running plays.  And the players executed very well.

Michigan outcoached OSU on both sides of the ball.  OSU has a very well-designed passing playbook.  They are bristling with 5 and high 4-star talent.  But...this year and last, Michigan had the game day and game plan coaching advantage.   And it was not close.

We were outcoached in the first half. But what a great second half.

The trick play using #20 after setting up OSU that he was just a fill-in big back on the 3rd & 1 play? Fucking genius.

I bow to the genius that is JH. Pay the man, please.

The way OSU attacked the edges in the first half and shutting down the offense? I think it rates "outcoach" status. But I get your comment.

Ultimately, the always spot on second half adjustments made by Michigan all season? Just crushed the Bucknuts and earns JH legend status.

The Khaki Jesus is back! Go Blue!!

The coaches won this game months ago when they A) moved Sainristil to defense, and B) convinced Oluwatimi to transfer to Michigan.
