This will be the thread for hot takes about the overall coaching performance.

Minter had definitely gotten the most out of the talent available.  He’s found ways to manufacture a pass rush and being pressure.  Will Johnson was ready for the big game.  The D-line rotation has worked well.  Braden McGregor made some plays today.  I would have not predicted this going into the season.  Thought the loss of Hill, Hutchinson and Ojabo was just too much to recover.

Was it just me or did everyone think this game was over (except for nail biting and teeth gnashing until the clock ran out) when Day punted while in Michigan territory in the 3rd period?  That was a big, white flag to me.  (I hoped.)  I mean statistically, the number two offense with the number 7 defense and you are playing not to lose?  No faith in your own defense.

I think he lost faith in his offense after M stoned the 4th and 2 earlier.  And I wouldn't have bet on them to convert 4th and 5 at that point either.

In retrospect, though, you have to know your strengths and weaknesses, and OSU had to have a pass play that singled up Harrison long enough for Stroud to get him the ball.  Leaning on that offense, rather than a suspect defense, seems like the way to go.

Agreed,  OSU’s quick-strike offense could be lethal.  Bleeding clock was frustrating but defensible.

I’m not going to pretend that clock management is suddenly a strength — Coach Harbaugh still needs a Madden Kid™ — but this week I could see the method to the madness.

Who doubted these coaches? Did you see the WR play? Did you see the rushing game? Did you see the defense. Did you see JJ the fucking great QB? What a set of coaches Harbaugh has assembled. They have blown Away everyone with BC on the bench. I gave too much credit to OSU. Predicted 42-27.

Seth is the man. He believed in this team. I wanna hear Seth right now.

Yes, funny to see the talking heads first hyping up Tennessee, then LSU, and now Alabama like the SEC deserves two teams in the playoff regardless of their record.  Nobody is talking about why Alabama should be considered any good based on their play this year.

Did Alabama have any impressive wins?  Nope.  Beat 4 loss Texas by 1.  Beat 7 loss A&M by 4.  Beat 4 loss Old Miss by 6.  Beat 4 loss Miss St. by 24.  There it is, put them in.

It really is kind of sad how ESPN controls the narrative on who should be in the playoff by harping on every other conference team's bad loss or weak schedule when the SEC teams they keep pushing are laughably less accomplished.

What did we hear all week?  Michigan shouldn't get in if they lose because of their 3 weak non-conference opponents.  They don't mention that almost every team in the SEC plays 4 weak non-conference games year in and year out with only an occasional game against a weak Power 5 conference team.  It's amazing that nobody talks about this.

Wow! This coaching staff was superb on this fine day. They did not abandon the game plan. They stayed patient, calm, and collected!

I'm at a watch party and I haven't heard a thing from the TV since Donovan's first touchdown! I'm hoarse from all the yelling!

Go Blue!

Unbelievable coaching peformance in enemy territory compounded by the injury situation.

You almost have to wonder if Harbaugh was running, "3 yards and a cloud of dust," as a sort of long con to later catch OSU napping on QB keepers called for JJ.

Minter deserves special praise for the unbelievable physical and mental toughness of his defensive unit, especially after losing talents like Hutch and Ojabo. They stepped up and held the offense in the game long enough for them to turn the tide on the scoreboard.
