- drop one of the tomato can preseason games

- conference champs of power 5 are in; other 3 are at large bids (this would have been Alabama, PSU, Washington, Clemson, + UM, OSU and whoever)

- have some committe rank them

- higher ranked team gets home field advantage.

Well, if this is how you end up owning the state of Florida, by beating its two premier teams in bowls two years in a row, then I guess that's how you do it.

Oh, and  it has been said already, but bring on FSU Twitter. This should be an interesting month.

It's a great recruit tool!

For the 2nd time, we go down to Florida faciing another Florida team. If we beat them soundly, the Florida recruits notice. I would take a Florida recruit any day better than a Texas recruit if their star level or eveluation is similar.

Really can't have a 2006 situation where we shit the bed in this bowl.

Need to build momentum for next year.

All of you that are complaining about this bowl, why are you even bother posting or visiting this board if this season is such a big waste? Don't go to the game and don't watch it. Your season is apparently over in your head so spare the rest of us with your endless bitching. Some of you need to learn some coping skills

Not the playoff, but still a good opportunity to close strong against a very good opponent. There is a lot of talent on that FSU squad.

Will be a lot of Florida HS players watching this. If you can beat one the home state teams in their own backyard, which also happens to be a traditional power, it should only help with recruiting in that state.

I'm excited to get another chance to watch this team play, and to see the maize and blue all over my TV screen. It inspires excitement like no other event. Beat FSU.

On a side note, I once again HATE the fact that the CFP semifnals are on December 31. I mean, it being Saturday and all, it makes a little bit of sense, but still...

As Mr. Horse used to say, "No, sir. I don't like it."

Michigan 34
FSU 31
...a shootout type of game, Michigan ahead most of the time, but FSU finding answer after answer. Both offenses move the ball, Michigan just makes a few more plays and wins a classic.

Consolation prize. But the CFP was ours to win or lose. That Iowa loss came back to bite us. Oh well. It's still a bit of an improvement over last season and a major improvement over 2 seasons ago. We'll just keep climbing until we get to where we all want to be. NC champs. It's coming.
