Oxymoron much?

"creative officiating" ;-)

Actually,

I'm worried about you, my friend, as it seems you're more concerned with driving home some pervert's reference to a sexual act as applied to our marching band, instead of enjoying a simple post that allows our fans and alumni to share the experience our band kids enjoyed over the holiday week. Remember, their families had to forfeit several days of a very short break to allow them to represent Michigan in Miami.

My initial post was simply an attempt to share the simple and straight-forward enjoyment of the MMB Trombone Section's trip to Miami supporting our football team while they played in the Orange Bowl. All the students in the MMB work their asses off to be exceptional musicians and athletes. They have to compete EVERY WEEK to EARN their place on the field representing our school. They all persevere and carry forward the meritocracy that is the MMB, and strive to perform to the standard that we all have come to expect as students and alumni.

Frankly, your bullshit response that references quaaludes and amplifies an earlier poster’s filthy  “rusty trombones” reference is disgusting, and you should be ashamed of yourself. As a Michigan Alumnus, I hope that you are just a pretender.

Grow the fuck up, asshole.

Do you have any further questions regarding my position on this matter?

dafuq? Spanglish?

Dick all yu want wit inet trolz, but not M peeps k?

growz d fuq up yo. U shuld go to Staee maybee.

Oh, yeah...

It's why we went there in the first place, right? I'm happy to pay $50k OOS to give my kids this experience. #3rdGen #GoBlue

Don't you...

...fuck with the band. Ever.

Questions?

Palest. Kids. Ever.

Yup.

You, sir...

...are a fucking douche. Nice job dropping a 100% feel-good, fun-loving, student-produced "thanks-for-the-free-trip-to-Miami" appreciation piece into just another cynical example of internet assholery. You Fucking Douche.

Have a Nice Day.

edit: sorry, I forgot...go fuck yourself.

No Mo

Jive Turkeys sowing bullshit to recruits. Money talks, Jive Turkeys walks.

Recently?

When have they won anything, ever? Please. We get so much more national attention than Georgia, it's silly. Unless you live in an SEC bubble, Michigan gets more tv audience exposure than anyone except maybe those tools in S. Bend, IN.

I grew up in Rhode Island, class of '87, both parents were UM alums, every M game was on tv, even back then. My oldest is Class of 2019, youngest just admitted to Class of 2021, neither has any idea that we aren't on national tv for EVERY GAME.

"moist goatee brigade"

Heh. (Shouldn't that be capitalized? I mean, it sounds like an official thing, y'know.) Maybe even THEEE Moist Goatee Brigade.

BOOM!

My son got his acceptance today! My daughter is a sophomore and in the MMB. Very proud to have raised 2 out-of-state Wolverines. It's a good day.

Don't you ever

Fuck with the band, asshole.

I once knew a girl...

...named meme. Or was it mimi?

Well,

in 2007, with Moss, 18-1 happened, and it woulda been 19-0 but for some really, really weird-ass shit happening to the Pats' defense. If you honestly look at all 6 Brady Super Bowls, he led 6 4th quarter winning drives. Two insane catches. coupled with an Asante Samuel INT drop and a Wes Welker game-sealing drop are the only things that stand between Brady and a 6-0 Super Bowl record. But, of course, Butler's INT in 2014 was the D making his heroics stand up.

It's that close; when the best teams play for everything, shit happens. Just the fact that the guy has made it to 6 (SIX!) Super Bowls is crazy. Winning 4, and getting your team in position to win all 6 late in the game is completely beyond anything any other QB has ever accomplished.

Actually, they win

more than anybody this millenium. But the discussion in NE is all about how long TB12 can last, particularly at this totally unrealistic level. The local sports media opinion, in my personal unscientific survey, is 3 more seasons. The question will be, when does Belichick (yes, that's the correct spelling) go in another direction...or does he?

No way he coaches...

...he's really into the diet-training-healthy living thing. He's in a partnership with his personal trainer with a gym/training facility at Patriot Place. His objective is to help young athletes maximize their training and avoid injury. His partner has a bit of a sketchy past it seems, but there's not much arguing with Brady's personal results.

Probably regular season,

the team posted this...

http://www.patriots.com/news/2014/10/16/game-notes-tom-brady-wins-41st-…

41st in a row. It's starting to feel like we're splitting hairs. The sheer number of crazy win-loss stats that can be conjured up regarding his career are seemingly endless.

edit: WTH, that was dated in October...anyway, nevermind, he fucking wins more than just about anybody. Discuss...

Sorry, yep...

AFC opponents is right, apparently.

roger that

oooh...right...something I give zero Fs about. Thanks! ;-)

(I do appreciate the edification, though.)

Sorry,

I'm new here. What an RCMB?  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

17th, 16th as a starter.

He also lost all of 2008 with the ACL injury in the first half of Week 1. But, he's appeared in 31 playoff games, so that makes up for not playing as a rookie and '08.

Yep,

She said he was more than happy to stop and sign. He has a great reputation in New England for being very gracious with the fans.

I don't disagree

...but he would've had enough hype behind him to get a start or 2, IMO. Of course, I've already been proven wrong on Harbaugh, so I suppose the point is moot, unless you think we should seperate the Super Bowl / Post-Merger Era from the original NFL.

Ok, so there you go.

I yield to you, sir. Facts are facts, my google skillz are clearly inferior.

But, of course, in those years, college football was king, and the pros were considered a sub-standard circus-like sideshow. I'm not saying you're wrong, it was just a completely different world, football-wise.

I think we all can agree that our alma mater's ability to produce competent professonal QBs was not good until JH was drafted with the last pick of the first round by da Bearz. ;-)

Brady has taken it to a level unknown to mankind, and our program should ride his exceptional intelligence, willingness to compete, refusal to offer excuses for failure, work-ethic and talent for all it's worth. This guy is the absolute prototype of everything we stand for as Michigan Men, up to and including the persecution by petty, jealous, born-with-a-silver-spoon-in-their-mouth bureaucrats and plain old douches like the Manning family, the Maras, and the Rooneys.

Tom Brady has done nothing but earn his place in the Pantheon of Football Gods, and any that try to deny that are just haters, pure and simple.

My only point was...

...that it would've likely been Leach had he gone to the NFL versus MLB.

I hate it

when that happens.

one word

lube.

Sorry.

For some reason, my photo of the jersey didn't post, and somehow I'm not allowed to edit that post, so, hopefully this will work.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/149781029@N08/shares/MgyVa1

I'm fairly sure it is. I

I'm fairly sure it is. I tried googling today to be sure, but couldn't verify it explicitly. Looking at the  M QB list that I found, Leach would've been it, but he went to MLB instead. There's no other name before JH that sticks out, but several after, obviously. (Grbac, Henne, etc.)

Finally!

Thank God somebody finally posted this thread! If I could've, I would've about 2pm when it was obvious TB12 was going to get his 201st. Considering Harbaugh was the first Michigan QB to start in the NFL (if I remember correctly), this is a massive milestone.

Here's a fun MMB/Brady story from his visit this season...

As it happens, my daughter is the only kid from all of New England in the MMB, and my wife, myself and both my parents are alums. I gave her my Brady 2000 Orange Bowl jersey when she headed to A2 as a freshman last year; she has been to multiple Patriot training camps with it as a kid trying to get it autographed, but never managed to get close enough to Brady. So, when she heard he was going to be an honorary captain this year, she was determined to finally make it happen.

For those that don't know, the band is discouraged from giving any attention or bothering the celebrities with whom they associate, but she took her jersey on Brady's weekend, hid it in her shako (band hat), which (IMO) is no small feat, considering the athleticism the band kids have to display during pre-game.

Like a professional stalker (I'm so proud), she watched TB12 during the first quarter, and when she saw him head for the tunnel, she took a premature head call (the bathroom the band kids use is in the tunnel), found Brady waiting for the elevator to go up to a luxury box and, well, mission accomplished! Here's the happy girl with her freshly autographed jersey postgame.

Yep.

Just made this point to the missus last night. I'd love to see any of those SEC or SoCal bitches up north in December.

And my kid is going...

yep, that's her with the trombone. B1G Championship Game and playoff would've been cool, but the Orange Bowl ain't bad, either.

https://youtu.be/wvg7rdt6ClI

Look at those fuckwads

The Penn State Nittany Lions, YOUR B1G Champions! Fuck Delaney, Fuck Franklin, Fuck Ped State.

This is the worst. Franklin is an asshat. Yeah, let's talk about 49-10, asshole.

THAT SCHOOL MUST NOT BE IN OUR CONFERENCE. WE SHOULD GO INDEPENDENT BASED ON THEIR MEMBERSHIP.

Seriously, it's the only moral response to this. Watching this bullshit on Fox is just vomit-inducing; it's so gross. Everyone is acting like the institutional condoning of child rape over 2 decades means nothing. My God.

Did anyone hear

what the effing asshat calling the game said at the end? Redemption? They're back? God, what complete assholery. It's a complete outrage. I will NEVER root for a B1G team because of conference affiliation again. This makes me want to puke. There is NOTHING right about it.

What an embarrassment.

So, now we're going to have to listen to the the "Ped State is redeemed!!" narrative. Somehow it seems appropriate for the end of 2016. (Sorry, was that political? hmmmm.)

Crable 2006

Wisco (sorry, can't call them Wisky, they haven't earned it) just got the Shawn Crable late hit treatment. What crap. The defender started the tackle as the ball was thrown. What. A. Joke.

Fuck Ped State

That intro of Ped State was fucking disgusting. Yeah, just a "scandal."

THEY WERE SYSTEMATICALLY RAPING LITTLE BOYS IN THEIR FOOTBALL BUILDING FOR 20 FUCKING YEARS!

What word doesn't anyone understand?

*edit - added SYSTEMATICALLY

TB12, part 2.

^^^

Crazy to stay if he's a 1st

Crazy to stay if he's a 1st or 2nd rounder. Take the cash, you must, A2 will be there when you're done.

Lewis is the one that's going to be the NFL star. Shutdown cover corner? Yes, please. $$$$

Nope.

It helps recuiting. These guys want to play for him because he gives zero fucks what anyone thinks but his players. The kids want to play for the guy who will tell The Man to fuck off, and JH will do it. We got fucked today, but cocksuckers like UM better watch out, we're coming for you, bitches.

What realistically pro-hopeful QB or WR or TE wants to play in a power spread? That'd be stoopid, no? Lots 'o them schemes in the bigs, right?

Patience, grasshopper, as long as JH doesn't say, "Fuck this, these refs are so bad I'll take my chances in the NFL!" The snake-oil salesmen like Saban and Meyer are working on borrowed time. (Hint: NFL officiating isn't any better.)

Riiight, bring back the guy

Riiight, bring back the guy who couldn't see he had the greatest QB/leader in football history running his team and made him split time with Drew Fucking Henson because Drew was highly recruited. Fucking brilliant. You, sir, are a moron.

And, by the way, the spot was wrong, and directly decided the game. That should never happen, and it's clear it was never even looked at. There's no amount of "stop whining" bullshit for you to throw that will change the truth, although, I'm sure you probably live in a fact free universe.

Not today, they didn't,

Not today, they didn't, asshat. What the fuck did you watch?

Sorry, dumbass, the blown

Sorry, dumbass, the blown spot on 4th and 1 in 2OT *DID* decide the game. #rules

Fuck the other calls, if they

Fuck the other calls, if they just spot the ball correctly, GAME OVER. THE DEFENSE MADE THE STOP, FUCK THE REST.

You're retarded, OSU got

You're retarded, OSU got their teeth punched in and had no answers until they were given to them by a half-broke QB and the fucktards in stripes. The D made the play they had to, when they had to. The ball was never close to the 15 on 4th down. GAME OVER. There is no other arguement, they overcame 3 TOs and everything else. The DEFENSE WON THIS GAME. There is no argument.

Screw job, engage.

Screw job, engage.

Yeah, no flag there. SMH

Yeah, no flag there. SMH

I would normally agree with

I would normally agree with you, but 7/79 and 1/1 don't lie. Just total bullshit. No college team, particularly one that's so shitty on offense for 3 quarters goes for 1 (yeah, that's ONE) penalty all fucking day.

The sad part is, we could

The sad part is, we could lose our coach because the B1G officiating is so fraudulent. And that's saying something when compared to the NFL.

This is so rigged.

This is so rigged.
