He just can't beat UM or OSU - plain and simple. I watched both games and even though the scores were 24-15 and 20-12, they were dominated a lot worse than the scores indicated. His offense was completely shut down by both teams and you can see the panic in the late game play calling. I believe OSU gave up a late garbage TD or the score would have been 20-6.
Gonna be a heck of a game in 2 weeks. Probably 2 of the top defenses in the country. Can't wait

That Goode penalty should have been offset by a Fashunu hold on McGregor. Obvious as can be. That TD probably doesn't happen otherwise.

My friend speculated that before the game, the refs designated one player to be allowed to hold whenever he wanted and this week it was Fashanu. His hold in the intentional grounding play was especially egregious.

Understood. I was just trying to point out that UM and OSU totally dominated their games against PSU. Both defenses completely shut down PSU and a lot of that has to do with Frames' coaching decisions

OSU did not dominate their game vs PSU. Oddly, their 8 point win was closer that the score indicated, while our 9 point win was more like a 14-16 pt win.
Franklin made a few bonehead moves that were similar to our game that really doomed them. On top of their offense being sweaty buns.

Not true. OSU was up 20-6 late in the 4th when PSU scored a garbage TD just like they did against us. They totally shut down PSU. Did you watch that game?

At the end when Gus and Joel were strategizing when they should go for 2 I was laughing that they wouldnt have been 2 scores back if dumb ass Franklin kicked the XP in the first half.
Theres a reason he's 3-17 against top 10 teams or whatever it is.

I was at the game and all the Staters were even beyond being mad. They were just standing there saying, essentially, that’s dumb, but that’s Franklin. Franklin gonna Franklin. Most of them wanted him gone. How much more tense would the game have been if they could have just kicked a XP and come within a score with 2 min left? That would have made me nervous. As it was the game was out of reach. The guy just thinks he’s too clever by half. I also hate the way he comes out in the front tank with the players, elbow locked right in the middle. He makes it totally about him. JH lets the players lead and then he just anonymously ambles out a bit later.

The Michigan alumni association here watches games in the same bar as Penn State alumni association. There was a similar quiet resignation in their fans today when he went for on 4th down at the 30. You could tell the expected Frames to do something dumb and their wasn’t so much anger as there was rueful befuddlement.

Early 4th down & short go vs OSU was when he blew that game. Big QB, just sneak it. Idiot tried some out pass or something & blew it. They were chasing from behind that whole game after also.

Did the same thing against us. He had 4th and probably 4 inches almost to midfield in the 2nd qt and he punted just like OSU. I turned to the PSU guy behind me and was like, did he learn nothing. Guy said “rocks can’t learn”.
