Michigan wanted him last year. He's a big-time recruiter. Huge loss for them.
I know they didn't love Rahne, but I've heard some mixed things about Kirk Ciarrocca. He loves the outside zone play-- and I'm not so sure they have the line to pull that off this year. It's a pretty big change from how they've blocked in the past. RPO stuff is the same, but no one is talking about his OZ philosophy. It only really took off when Minny had two monster WR threats...
They could be a regression candidate this year.

I believe that is more like "Defending The Opponent's Run Game Coordinator", although that is a mouthful of a title.
Just a coordinator tag they gave him to pay him more to keep him around longer because he's truly a great coach AND recruiter. Big loss for them.

I think they're starting to designate run / pass game coordinators for defense now, similarly to how they started doing it with offense 15 years or so ago. I noticed this on someone else's bio recently but can't remember who it was. Another way to give psuedo promotions I suppose.
