NCAA Tournament Round 2--Syracuse/Sparty open thread

Sparty has the kind of team Boeheim's match-up zone is designed to chew up. Izzo's offense wants to funnel it inside and the zone prevents that. Sparty doesn't have the shooters to rain 3's over it. I'm no fan of Boeheim...but fuck Sparty. Go 'Cuse.

Is this the greatest opening four days of the tournament, or what? Throw in the fact that Notre Dame, as a one seed, lost in the NIT, too, for the icing on the cake.

In an effort to show he's a good coach, he cost his team a sure victory. Who else thought "Ben Carter, Zone-buster," was a good idea? He didn't even play in the BTT.

That’s the Sparty that we clearly recognize. Their getting Detroit over UM was a travesty and losing to the 49th ranked team on Pomeroy proves it. UM still playing and MSU goes home - starting to become a March tradition.

i had syracuse beating sparty in my bracket.  i know it was hopeful, but i thought their sticky zone would give sparty trouble with only one day to prepare.  i don't like syracuse but i was rooting for them this tourny just for this outcome.

just a cherry on top after last night.  Go Blue!!!
