Looks like the NCAA is proposing a rules change to make suspensions more stringent and penalties for hiring coaches cited for show-cause in relation to level 1 and 2 violations. This is being proposed after the NCAA president was quoted as saying we won the national championship "fair and square". So it doesn’t appear that we will be stripped of the title. Though who knows what future ramifications are.

Among other items, the council also voted Wednesday to adopt stiffer penalties for individuals who violate NCAA rules. Moving forward, coaches who are suspended will be required to stay away from their teams on days between games in addition to missing games themselves. Schools who hire coaches with show-cause penalties from past violations could receive penalties, and the NCAA plans to create a public database of individuals with a history of Level 1 or Level 2 violations.

Jim has been on the NCAA's hit list since he started at Michigan because they suspected he was going to make waves. And they quickly saw that they were correct when he started participating in southern camps. They changed the rules to make that illegal and moved Jim up the top of the list. He was rocking the boat.

Anyone who saw Jim at the Tuesday national press conference knows that he is now on their super urgent hit list. He is leading the movement to pay the athletes.

They are indicating now that they will not try to require forfeiture of games or the national championship. That is to show that they are completely fair. But I'm pretty sure that they think that will cover them when they go after Jim unreasonably hard.

The NCAA runs a championship for every sport except FBS. The stupidity, absurdity, and potential for corruption of this situation are bonkers. I am sure Santa Ono will fix it.

This looks like an end run to make an example out of Harbaugh and Michigan. And Michigan needs to take a hard line and demand complete transparency in whatever penalties they are assessed in the pending case.

You know the NCAA is going to demand no public response from the university or Harbaugh about their enforcement action. I want full transparency in whatever action is taken.

It’s time to go full legal eagle on these pricks. They’re gonna try and force Jim out through ticky tack BS, meanwhile the sec and several basketball programs present fake NIl money and things far more deviant. Meanwhile we have an idiot armed with a fleet of iPhones recording rain games against Umas and our rivals recording the recordings. Instead of sacking up they flew to Indy to cry like babies.

Someone is going to legally challenge the show-cause, and eventually win.  Blacklisting and lack of due process will are the most likely results that courts will not agree with.  Just my opinion.

Fuck the NCAA. It’s no longer an amateur game. They failed the ONE thing they were here for. Go away; all you’re doing is taking money from schools and harassing the biggest generator for absolutely no good reason.

So how about also cleaning up the dumb rules?

I mean how many current top level coaches have a level 1 or 2 violation? I bet more than people would realize.
